Will Arab Israelis Join the Enemy in Wartime?

by https://www.jns.org/

The Israel Defense Forces is preparing for a scenario in which Israel’s Arabs join its enemies in wartime, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “There are 10 military battalions training for this thing. Although it is still not enough, they are preparing exactly for this day,” said Netanyahu.

Israel became aware of the possible danger during “Operation Guardian of the Walls” in May 2021. While Israel was engaged in a military operation against terrorists in the Gaza Strip, Arabs within Israel rioted, blocking roads, including those leading to army bases. Twenty-three police stations were also damaged and about 300 policemen injured.

In response, the IDF incorporated scenarios in which rioting hampered the movement of Israeli forces during wartime in its “Chariots of Fire” exercise in May-June 2022.

Also, in August 2022, the IDF assigned four battalions from one brigade the task of keeping major roads clear and protecting strategic facilities during wartime.

Also, one of the responsibilities of Israel’s new national guard force under the auspices of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir will be dealing with intercommunal violence during times of national emergency.

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

Many international 'friends' and enemies of Israel – in the UN, Europe and America - were quick to condemn reprisal action by Jews living in Judea and Samaria against enemies, after four Jews were killed by Hamas terrorists. The same ‘Israel-lovers’ are not so prompt to denounce and condemn terror attacks against Jews by the PA/Hamas terrorists. The continuously pretend that they do not know the difference between “Occupied” and “Disputed” territories.

Israel Must Snub US Embassy July 4th Event

In line with Biden administration policy to snub Religious Zionst and Otzma Yehudit Zionist parties, which make up over 20% of the current Israeli government, the United States Embassy in Jerusalem did not invite Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister to its US Independence Day celebration to be held in Jerusalem on July 3rd.

Rocket Fired from Jenin at Israel

A rocket was fired from city of Jenin, the PA-controlled territory in Judea and Samaria, for the first time. The sign hanging on the launcher said that it was a Qassam 1 rocket and that the next launch would be bigger. The Shin Bet revealed that an Islamic Jihad terrorist cell which was involved in the manufacturing of rockets in Jenin had been broken up. The territory of Gaza has been used to launch many thousands of rockets at Israel since the 2005 Disengagement.

The Worst Legal Political Persecution

Judges presiding over the trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Case 4000, aka the Bezeq-Walla affair, told state prosecutors that they have very little chance of winning. Netanyahu was officially indicted in November 2019 in three cases involving breach of trust, accepting bribes, and fraud. “The worst political and legal persecution in the country’s history is collapsing. It is impossible not to be shocked by everything that has happened until now. Even if it takes years – the truth must come to light,” said Justice Minister Yariv Levin, an architect of the proposed judicial reforms. (Despite report of its collapse, Netanyahu bribery case to proceed)

US Increased Aid to the World’s Perpetual Fake Refugees

The Biden administration increased aid to UN Palestinian refugee agency despite antisemitism taught and terrorists being glorified in its schools. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), founded in 1949 to provide humanitarian and social services to Palestinian refugees, will receive an additional $16.2 million this year, bringing the total dollar amount to $223 million. Since 2021, the US has provided UNRWA $940 million. (This is the true face of the 'friend' of Israel. For true anti-Semites, it does not matter that the US is trillions of dollars in debt.)

Jewish Reprisal against Enemy Terror

A day after Arab/Palestinian gunmen killed four people, a large group of Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria attacked some towns and villages in the PA controlled area. (Unfortunately, it will not end terror attacks against Jews and Israel. However,it may encourage some members of the enemy population to move out from Jewish land.)

Idiotic Comparison by the 'Friend' of Israel

US ambassador blasted for equating innocent Israeli victims to terrorists killed by IDF. Mere hours after Palestinian terrorists murdered four Israelis and injured four others, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides tweeted “Deeply concerned about the civilian deaths and injuries that have occurred in the West Bank these past 48 hours, including that of minors,” he wrote. “Praying for the families as they mourn the loss of loved ones, or tend to those injured.”

All Options are Open?

Netanyahu warns terrorists 'all options are open' after 4 Israelis were killed in a terror attack near Jerusalem. Two Hamas terrorists arrived from the village Urif and opened fire, killing Jewish civilians. Netanyahu gave a warning to the terror groups operating against Israel. "Our forces are now working on the ground in order to settle accounts with the murderers. In recent months, we have already proven that we do settle accounts with all of the murderers, without exception." (It has been said before! What about removing all enemies from the Jewish land, once and for all?)

UN Peacekeepers Cooperate with Hezbollah

The Hezbollah terror group established two tents in Israeli territory on the Lebanon border some two weeks ago. The tents, manned by armed Hezbollah members, were established over the internationally recognized Blue Line in the contested Mount Dov region, also known as the Shebaa Farms. Hezbollah has dozens of observation posts along Israel’s northern border, several meters from the Blue Line. According to the IDF, these positions represent a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 war. (Why not just 'remove' them?)

Leftist Treachery in a Name of Fake Peace

The Ehud Barak administration agreed to give up part of Israel’s sovereignty in the Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in December 2000. Israel suggested instead that “everything from the Jaffa Gate straight and to the left (the Christian and Muslim quarters) will be Palestinian, and everything to the right (the Jewish and Armenian quarters) will be Israeli.” Israel demanded to keep 80% of the Israeli residents of Judea and Samaria under Israeli sovereignty, which amounted to retaining only 8% of the area. It also agreed to retain no more than 2% of the Gaza Strip. (Now the same former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, a leading voice against the judicial reform program, urged demonstrators to revolt “I am calling upon the citizens of Israel to prepare for the call to act, and when the call comes, to answer it,” Barak said.)

Enemies Within in IDF

Arabic-speaking IDF soldiers, Bedouin and Druze, were arrested by IDF for Tweeting their support for Jenin terrorists, a day after IDF anti-terrorist activity in Jenin. They were cursing Israel and congratulating the residents of Jenin, and glorifying terrorists - after the operation in which seven IDF soldiers were wounded, one of them in a medium-to-serious condition. The soldiers were heard saying: "Long live Palestine, long live Jenin. Long live the God of Palestine and Israel go to hell!" Other soldiers nearby can be heard laughing and offering their support as well.

Violation of what International Law?

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres joined in on the criticism of Israel, following the decision to advance the planning of 4,500 new housing units in Judea and Samaria. “The Secretary-General reiterates that settlements are a flagrant violation of international law. They are a major obstacle to the realization of a viable two-state solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace," said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for Guterres. A day before, the United States criticized Israel’s decision to advance the new construction, saying it is “deeply troubled” by it. (1. The two-state solution was ‘dead on arrival’. 2. Enemies of Israel do not want peace, and it would never be "just" for Jewish people! 3. Jew-haters never say what international law Israel violates.)

Resuming Targeting Killing of Terrorists?

In a highly unusual move, the first in 17 years, the Israel Defense Forces killed a terrorist cell in a drone strike in Jenin. The three cell members had just carried out a shooting in the town of Jalamah, located about 5 km. north of Jenin in Samaria. “The terrorist cell has carried out a number of shooting attacks toward communities in Judea and Samaria lately," the IDF said. The airstrike was carried out by an Elbit Hermes 450 drone, operated by the Artillery Corps.

Quotes of the Week:

"Iran undermines global security and threatens the existence of the State of Israel, as it pursues the development of nuclear weapons. Up until now, the international community’s attempts to foil Iran’s pursuit of an illegal military grade nuclear weapon have not been fruitful, and the Iranian government disregards all international norms: it lies, it misrepresents. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recently published a report showing that Iran had enriched uranium to a level close to 90 per cent enrichment.” - Eli Cohen, Foreign Minister.

Make a Difference - Become Active!

Steven Shamrak

Dear Friends,

The fact that you are still receiving these editorial letters means that you are already an active supporter of the state of Israel and are making your own contribution toward the Hasbarah and the future of the Jewish state. Or, at least, you  are not indifferent to the future of the state of Israel.

Many Jews, including myself, have been involved in signing petitions, press monitoring, writing and sending out information, articles, letters etc. None of these activities increased peace, but quite the opposite, the situation is continuously deteriorating.

We need to bring our focus back to the Jewish agenda and goals, spending less time and energy fighting the issues artificially created and imposed on us by our enemies.

At the moment we can’t rely on the support and co-operation of official Jewish organisations, including Zionist ones, and even Israeli politicians. Most of them are apathetic, or self-centred and self-serving individuals. Some of them are suffering from selfishness - and would do anything to please anti-Semites and fake friends. Therefore, the active participation in an independent Jewish national movement, with dedication to the achievement of the Jewish National goal is our only alternative.

I call it Ha’Uma - the Nation! It is a concept of people movement. A network of people, united by one Jewish National goal: “Jewish people have the right to live in peace on all Jewish ancestral land.”

We must understand that most people around the world are not interested in the Arab-Israel conflict. They are artificially fed anti-Israel propaganda by many interested parties: Political left, Fascists, pan-Arabian Wahhabi ideologists, those with oil dependent business interests, anti-Semitic international organisations, and governments. They are in fear of economic chaos due to Arab oil blackmail and are willing to sacrifice Israel to stay in their comfort zone.

Jewish people and our true friends, of all shades of the political spectrum and religious affiliations, need to unite behind the Jewish National goal. The policy of compromise on this issue has not worked and never will. There are no legal, historical or moral grounds for the Arab claims. Therefore, no concessions must be allowed.

Any concessions made in order to achieve peace are viewed by our enemies as a sign of weakness and are detrimental to our future and only bring annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people!

In order to change the status quo, we need: Jewish unity, to start changing our attitude, and to shake off the Gallut mentality. I am not a naïve person and know that this alone is a big task. Jewish history is full of examples of suffering we endured due to our own disunity and appeasement of others. At the same time, we remember how small groups of highly motivated people were able to ignite and unite Jewish people when we faced mortal danger.

We don’t want to be victims anymore! Time is running out! It is up to each of us to say: “I can make a difference!”
