Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is employing 100 terrorist operatives. The list contains a "small fraction" of terrorist operatives employed by UNRWA, and that the names of more employees will be sent in the future. (That is why many UNRWA and other NGO's employees, and so-called journalists are killed in Gaza by IDF. UNRWA admits they have to operate within Hamas rule, which means supporting terrorism.) UNHCR is the Alternative to UNRWA UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres declared that there is no alternative to the UN agency for fake Palestinian refugees. Israel said in January that 12 UNRWA staff participated in the October 7 Hamas attacks. In the weeks that followed, numerous donor states suspended or paused some $450 million in funding to UNRWA. Some of those countries, including Germany, Sweden, Canada, Japan, Norway and Austria, have since resumed funding to the agency. Hamas terrorists have used UNRWA facilities to carry out terrorist attacks against Israelis and fire rockets on Israel and the IDF. (The Israel-hating head of the UN does not care about the truth and facts. UNRWA has been fostering the fake Palestinian refugees, the 4th or 5th generation already, since 1949.) UNRWA vs. UNHCR – The Shocking Numbers! (This is 2018 information, but little has changed) Both UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) and the UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) are mandated by the UN to aid refugees, but there are some significant differences between how these two organizations spend their money, and thus, how successful and efficient they are at using that money to end the refugee crisis... If one defines success as resolving the refugee’s problems, then UNRWA can only be defined as a complete failure. UNRWA does not try or want to resettle the refugees, nor help the refugees move forward with their lives in a new host country, where some are already 3rd and 4th generation UN welfare recipients. UNRWA maintains the refugee definition, even for those living in refugee camps within the Palestinian Authority. UNRWA has 4X more staff members than UNHCR, although UNRWA deals with 6X fewer refugees. UNRWA spends twice as much per refugee each year than UNHCR does – and has never resettled even a single refugee. UNHCR: Refugees can be resettled in any third country, with the goal to help them get on with their lives. Children of refugees are not supposed to be considered refugees. UNRWA: There are 4.681 million Arab refugees; however, only 20,000 according to a classified US State Department report. UNHCR: There are 15.4 million refugees; plus 800,000 awaiting refugee status and 12 million stateless people w/o refugee status for a total of 28.2 million refugees. UNRWA: $1 Billion USD; Number of Countries: 5; Staff: 29,000 UNHCR: $3.32 Billion USD; Number of Countries: 123; Staff: 7,200
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak Since the 1960s, as part of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, the United States began pretending that it is a friend of Israel. This position allows America to exercise control of Arab states and manipulation of the oil market. At the same time, the US has never let Israel fully take advantage of its military victories in the 1967 and 1973 wars, and put the end to the conflict with the Arab states, furthermore, reunite the Jewish land. A while ago, the United States was openly participating in international anti-Semitic endeavours: - It did not let Jews escape Europe from the Holocaust, despite knowing the intention of Nazi Germany. - It participated in an arms embargo to the newly created state during the War of Independence, in 1948, deliberately attempting facilitation of the second genocide of Jews by advancing fully armed armies of seven Arab/Muslim states. As a ‘friend’, the US continuously insists on keeping the ugly “status quo” with the PLO and Hamas, instead of letting Israel remove the terror infested population from the Jewish land. Currently, the US has not allowed Israel to remove a nuclear threat from Iran, and insists on protracted useless negotiating. Residents of the north, bereaved families, and relatives of hostages protested outside the Cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, calling for continued pressure on Hamas and against a deal with Hezbollah. The bereaved father Itzik Bonzel said: "We call upon all the ministers and the Prime Minister to continue, only with force and power can we win. Continue with the assassinations, assassinate them one by one, both in the north and in the south, do not stop." The US Agency for International Development announced that the United States would donate $90 million in aid to “Palestinians”. Just over a month later, Samantha Power, who is visiting Israel, revealed that Washington plans to provide another $100 million in “Palestinian” aid. Israel has said that aid arrives in Gaza and then sits idly without nonprofits retrieving and distributing it. It’s estimated that 80% of aid sent into Gaza is seized by Hamas. In Desperation the Left United Despite criticism from veteran Labor circles regarding the merger, Meretz and Labor have merged, becoming the Democrats party. According to the agreement with Meretz, both parties will run together in the next elections on a joint list under the name "The Democrats," with Meretz guaranteed two spots in the top ten positions. According to the agreement, the two parties are supposed to remain separate corporate and budgetary entities. (The is nothing democratic about the Socialist Left.) New Terrorists - Children Trained as Replacements Hamas and Islamic Jihad replenish their numbers by sending children to terror camps. The training camps teach children how to shoot guns, make their way through the tunnel system, and how to kidnap IDF soldiers. In nine months of war, Israel has eliminated 60% of terrorists in Gaza, 75% when including those who are severely wounded. Iran Funding the Anti-Israel Protests The director of national intelligence, Avril Haines, says the US intelligence community has “observed actors tied to Iran’s government posing as activists online, seeking to encourage protests, and even providing financial support to protesters.” Absent from the statement was any explanation about what the U.S. government is doing to try to stop the Iranian meddling. Has it tried to shut down the bank accounts or social media accounts that the Iranians are using? (Antisemitism, anti-Israel now, has always been fostered and propagated from the 'top', by rulers and political elite.) Knesset Committee Declared UNRWA a Terror Organization The Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has unanimously approved a bill designating the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as a terrorist organization. The proposed bill would ban UNRWA from operating on Israeli territory. At present the UNRWA operates in post-1967 areas of Jerusalem, where it runs schools that incite their students to murder Israeli citizens. US Released some Delayed Weapons Shipments The US is sending Israel 500-pound bombs after a two-month delay. The weapons are expected to reach Israel in the coming weeks. Additional bombs weighing 2,000 pounds, which were also supposed to be part of the shipment, are still waiting. Hamas Tunnels from Rafah to Egypt While operating in Rafah, Israeli forces uncovered three levels of tunnels, like a three-story building underground, leading from Gaza into Egypt. At least 20 tunnels crossed from Gaza into Egypt beneath the Philadelphi Corridor. The IDF reportedly destroyed 14 of those passages, which have been described as an underground “highway” big enough for vehicular traffic, including trucks. The PA will ‘Sale’ Terror to Brazil Brazil has put into effect a free trade agreement with the Palestinian Authority (PA) that has been waiting for ratification for more than decade. (Antisemitism rejects basic logic! What goods will the two sides trade?) Majority of Israelis Reject Current Deal with Hamas A majority of Israelis are opposed to a hostage deal currently under consideration. As part of the deal, Israel would receive 33 captives held by Gaza terrorists, including 18 living hostages and the remains of 15 more. According to a survey 53% of those polled rejected the deal, compared to just 36% who supported it. Israel Must Respond with Force to Hezbollah Rockets The head of the Golan Regional Council called for the Israeli government to attack Hezbollah “with force” and to move its offensive into the Lebanese side of the border after a Hezbollah rocket attack killed two people, Noa and Nir Barnes - a couple from Kibbutz Ortal and parents of three children. Quote of the Week: “The failure to resolutely support Israel in its military objectives to eliminate Hamas has made it harder to help facilitate the release of those being detained, including American hostages that Hamas brutally kidnapped on October 7, 2023. Instead of focusing on bringing home the Americans and Israelis held hostage, your (Biden) administration has spent months pressuring and attempting to micromanage Israel.” - Mike Johnson, the US House Speaker. Myth of the US Largest Military Aid to Israel by Prof. Hillel Frisch BESA Center Perspectives Paper, Feb 10, 2017 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Many American detractors of Israel begin by citing that Israel receives the lion’s share of US military aid. The very suggestion conjures the demon of an all-powerful Israel lobby that has turned the US Congress into its pawn. But these figures, while reflecting official direct US military aid, are almost meaningless in comparison to the real costs and benefits of US military aid – above all, American boots on the ground. In reality, Israel receives only a small fraction of American military aid, and most of that was spent in the US to the benefit of the American economy. Countless articles discrediting Israel (as well as many other better-intentioned articles) ask how it is that a country as small as Israel receives the bulk of US military aid. Israel receives 55%, or $US3.1 billion per year, followed by Egypt, which receives 23%. This largesse comes at the expense, so it is claimed, of other equal or more important allies, such as Germany, Japan, and South Korea. The complaint conjures the specter of an all-powerful Israel lobby that has turned the US Congress into its pawn. The response to the charge is simple: Israel is not even a major beneficiary of American military aid. The numerical figure reflects official direct US military aid, but is almost meaningless compared to the real costs and benefits of US military aid – which include, above all, American boots on the ground in the host states. There are 150,500 American troops stationed in seventy countries around the globe. This costs the American taxpayer an annual $US85-100 billion, according to David Vine, a professor at American University and author of a book on the subject. In other words, 800-1,000 American soldiers stationed abroad represent US$565-665 million of aid to the country in which they are located. Once the real costs are calculated, the largest aid recipient is revealed to be Japan, where 48,828 US military personnel are stationed. This translates into a US military aid package of over US$27 billion (calculated according to Vine’s lower estimation). Germany, with 37,704 US troops on its soil, receives aid equivalent to around US$21 billion; South Korea, with 27,553 US troops, receives over US$15 billion; and Italy receives at least US$6 billion.
