by Larry Domnitch When the UNWRA (United Nations Relief Work Agency) was formed In December 1949, it was supposed to temporarily tend to the needs of the approximately 600,000 Arab refugees (some sources say there were 260,000 of them - the number more than doubled after creation of the UNRWA) of the Arab-Israeli war of 1948, in refugee camps. Since the founding of UNRWA, the number of “refugees’ have increased to a staggering 5.7 million according to UNRWA and according to PASI, the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs, that number is 6.7 million. The refugee camps of the past became cities. It appears that UNRWA-run "refugee" camps (aka cities) are perpetuating enmity towards Israel. - Confrontation with Israel is taught in their schools which have adopted the anti-Israel curriculum of the Palestinian Authority in violation of UN principles of peace and reconciliation. - UNRWA school textbooks contain many examples of indoctrination against Israel and veneration of terrorists. -Textbooks omit recognition of Israel school maps and omit the existence of Israel. School books exclude any connection between the Jews and the land. - It also appears that refugees are being primed for combat. UNRWA summer camps actually give young “campers“ paramilitary training, preparing them for future war with the Jews. The goal is the “right of return” (not resettlement, as most refugee programs focus on). Today, UNRWA facilities prime tomorrow’s generation for conflict. UNRWA should be seeking real solutions to what was the rejection by Arab nations of the partition of the land in 1947, according to UN resolution 181. The agenda is to allow perpetuation of conflict and the continued hope by Palestinian Arabs to flood Israel with refugees (instead of finding them home in Arab or Muslims countries). Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak Since the 1960s, as part of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, the United States began pretending that it is a friend of Israel. This position allows America to exercise control of Arab states and manipulation of the oil market. At the same time, the US has never let Israel to fully take advantage of its military victories in 1967 and 1973 wars - put the end to the conflict with the Arab states, and reunite the Jewish land. The United States openly participated in international anti-Semitic endeavours: - It did not let Jews escape Europe from Holocaust, knowing the intention of the Nazi Germany. - It took part in an arm embargo of the newly created state of Israel during the War of Independence, in 1948, deliberately attempting facilitation of the second genocide of Jews by advancing fully armed armies of seven Arab/Muslim states. As a ‘friend’, the US continuously insists on keeping the ugly “status quo” with the PLO and Hamas, instead of letting Israel remove the terror infested population from the Jewish land. Currently, the US has not allowed Israel to remove a nuclear threat from Iran, rather protracting useless negotiating. Biden Gov.t Must Mind Its Own Business MK Yuli Edelstein, Likud former Knesset speaker, the chair of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee told US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides that settlement expansion would continue, despite Washington’s objections. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently laid out the new government’s guiding principles, including a statement that the Jewish people have “an exclusive and inalienable right to all parts of the Land of Israel.” President Isaac Herzog issued a statement calling for political rhetoric to be toned down after MK Tzvika Fogel called for Opposition MKs Yair Lapid, Benny Gantz, Yair Golan, and Moshe Ya'alon to be arrested for "treason" and opposition MKs warned of a brewing "civil war." "The values of the Declaration of Independence are the compass of our country - I will not allow them to be harmed. We must calm the spirits and lower the flames. We have no other country," Herzog said. (He was silent when anti-Zionist Lefties called for "civil war.") "In a democratic country, the leaders of the opposition are not arrested, just as the government ministers are not called Nazis, the Jewish government isn't called the Third Reich and the citizens are not called to start a civil rebellion," PM Benjamin Netanyahu told President Herzog. (The Israeli Left forgot that Nazis were Socialists!) Chutzpah of European Antisemites. 24 European Parliament members wrote to the EU's Commission for Crisis Management following Israel's intention to demolish dozens of houses in the West Bank villages of the Masafer Yatta area that were built with financial aid from the European Union or its member states. The West Bank was divided into Areas A, B and C as part of the 1993 Oslo Accords. Israel retains total military control of Area-C. Masafer Yatta falls within Area-C. (They are undermining Israel rights by financing illegal construction by the enemies on the Jewish land, and do not like it when Jews reclaim it. What a chutzpah!) Beginning of Financial Punishment of the Enemy The new Israeli government pledged to take punitive measures against the PA should it promote its initiatives at the UN. In response to the UN General Assembly resolution requesting that the International Court of Justice weigh in on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the "legal status of the occupation", The Israeli security cabinet approved seizer of NIS139 million ($39 million) from tax revenues collected on behalf of the Palestinian Authority (PA). The Execution Office in Jerusalem transferred NIS 139 million to the representatives families of terror victims following the decision of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to seize tax funds. (Enemies of Israel not short of funds to build terror tunnels and pay terrorists and their families. They must pay their water, electricity and medical bills to Israel. As well as, compensate victims of the terror.) Jordan is not a Friend of IsraelRepresentatives from the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, and the U.S. gathered for the Negev Forum steering committee’s third meeting since its establishment last June. Jordan, the only Arab state with fully normalized relations with Israel that did not participate in the meeting, has insisted that it will not take part in the Negev Forum unless the PA joins. (Jordan did not care about fake Palestinians when it controlled Judea and Samaria. It is still occupying trans-Jordan, 77% of Jewish land!) No More PLO Flags and Terror Incitement National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir instructed Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai to order the police to remove any Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flags from public places and to stop any incitement against the State of Israel. Every police officer of any rank, during their shift, will be permitted to remove PLO flags. "It is inconceivable that lawbreakers wave terrorist flags, incite and encourage terrorism," said Ben Gvir. Matan Peleg, chairman of the Im Tirtzu movement, said that this is "a very important day for governance, an important day for Zionism and the State of Israel." Terror Attacks Supported by Fake Palestinians A Palestinian Authority public opinion poll shows support is growing among its population for an “armed struggle” against Israel - a return to an armed intifada, and “armed attacks” inside against Israeli civilians inside Israel, along with support for “armed groups”. There was also overwhelming support (72 percent) for “armed groups” (such as the Lion’s Den terrorist network). They have also been promoting international dialogues and activities to delegitimize Israel, calling for boycotts, and repeatedly and publicly claiming there is no partner for peace in Israel. (By delegitimizing Israel, they think fake Palestinians become 'legit'.) Advancing Transfer of Lands to Pre-1948 Jewish Owners A clause in the coalition agreement between Likud and Religious Zionism says the government will instruct the head of the army's Central Command to enable assets currently held by the Civil Administration to be transferred to their pre-1948 Jewish owners. This move is expected to facilitate settlement expansion and allow Israel to gain control over Palestinian-leased buildings. (Let’s hope Netanyahu will honour the agreement. Discrimination of Jewish ownership of the land must end!) Amnesty Supports Flag of Terrorists Amnesty International has criticised Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir's "repressive" ban on raising the Palestinian flag in public places inside Israel. The organisation's spokesman, Rami Haidar, said, "the instructions to implement the ban on raising the Palestinian flag fall within the scope of collective punishment on a racist basis." (Since when did the fake Palestinians became a race? Does the AI support raising Al-Qaeda and Nazi flags raised in London or Washington?) Jewish Idiots are Enemies Within A group of Jews, who belong to the ultra-Orthodox and anti-Zionist Neturei Karta group, arrived in Jenin for a visit. Members of the delegation met with the senior leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Judea and Samaria, Bassam al-Saadi, and declared their support for the fake Palestinians. In addition, the delegation from Neturei Karta met with the secretary general of the Fatah party, Ata Abu Ramila. Quote of the Week: “The Biden administration's pathological obsession with undermining Israel is endangering the national security of America and our allies. A visit by a minister from Israel’s government to a site inside Israel is not a change in any (idiotic) status quo arrangement, and it should not be controversial for a Jew to visit the holiest site in Judaism. The Biden administration has consistently sought to undermine Israel’s security and sovereignty over its territory. It prohibited even mentioning the ‘Abraham Accords,’ sought to open a Palestinian consulate in Israel's capital Jerusalem, unleashed the FBI against the Israeli army, and publicly ostracized parts of Israel’s democratically-elected government. Meanwhile, the administration is pouring over a billion dollars into Palestinian (controlled) areas." - Senator Ted Cruz criticized Biden administration - This is not how a ‘best friend' behaves. Anti-Israel Normality of 'Ugly Nazi' - Year 2022 by Luke Tress The United Nations General Assembly passed more resolutions critical of Israel than against all other nations combined in 2022. The General Assembly approved 15 anti-Israel resolutions last year, versus 13 resolutions criticizing other countries! Russia was the focus of six resolutions condemning its invasion of Ukraine. North Korea, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Syria, Iran and the US were hit with one resolution each. Saudi Arabia, China, Lebanon, Turkey, Venezuela and Qatar, which have poor human rights records or were involved in regional conflicts, were not dinged by any resolutions criticizing them. Since 2015, the General Assembly has adopted 140 resolutions criticizing Israel, mainly over its treatment of the Palestinians, its relationships with neighbouring countries and other alleged wrongdoings. Over the same period, it has passed 68 resolutions against all other countries.
