A new theory has surfaced to
explain why Israel’s ruling elites have relentlessly pursued the policy of land
for peace with the Palestinian Authority despite the PA’s incessant, murderous
attacks on Jewish women, men, and children. The new theory is called the
“Battered Person Syndrome” (BPS).
BPS refers to any person who,
because of constant and severe domestic violence usually involving physical
abuse by a partner, becomes depressed and unable to take any independent action
that would allow him or her to escape the abuse. The condition explains why
abused people often do not fight their abuser, or change the abusive situation.
BPS sufferers also have low
self-esteem, and often believe that the abuse is their own fault. Such persons
usually refuse to press criminal charges against their abuser. Often sufferers
will even seek out their very abuser for comfort shortly after an incident of
abuse…
No one suffers from the Battered
Person Syndrome more than Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Even though Fatah security officers planned
to assassinate him, Olmert insisted on attending the Annapolis Conference with
Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas.
Suffering from BPS, Israeli prime ministers, instead
of eliminating Israel’s Palestinian tormenters, are ever seeking among them “a
negotiating partner.” It makes no difference that Mahmoud Abbas praises
suicide bombers as “holy martyrs.” For Olmert Abbas is a “moderate” (and
one can hardly expect American politicians and diplomats to say otherwise)…
Strange as it may seem, senior Israeli officers have
been brain-fed or indoctrinated with the Battered Person Syndrome at Israel’s
Command and Staff College. There they learn that “self-restraint is a
form of strength.” Sharon emphasized this very doctrine to justify
his failure to retaliate against many terrorist attacks…
Never mind the anti-Jewish proclivities of
left-wingers: they are troubled by feelings of guilt. As for
right-wingers, a sentimental morality would prevent them from taking vengeance
against Israel’s genocidal enemies…
It thus appears that Battered Person Syndrome in
Israel goes very well with the multiculturalism of Israel’s ruling elites.
These elites, insofar as suffer from BPS, will do anything to maintain
their political supremacy, for only by implementing the policy of land for
peace can they redeem themselves and all Israel from guilt.
Food
for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
None of the peace-loving activists moved
to live into Sderot to study and experience first hand the effect of Quassam
rockets and Arab terror in general on Jews in Israel. However, so many of them
have proudly proclaimed that they have visited Palestinian ‘refugee camps’! I
wonder why?
PA
rejected recognition of Israel as a Jewish state and issued a new demand,
saying the PA would refuse to sign an agreement with Israel unless Israel made
a written commitment to release all terrorist prisoners. – Does it make any sense? Only to Olmert’s
self-hating mob!
Time
to Leave the Office. More than 100
police investigators raided government buildings and private offices on Sunday,
searching for evidence in a series of criminal investigations of Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert. In one case, Olmert is suspected of buying a luxurious Jerusalem
home at a substantial discount from a developer. (A
decent person would have done it a long time ago!)
The
Same Unfulfilled Demands. Prime
Minister Ehud Olmert intends to demand that the Palestinian Authority accept
Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state in upcoming negotiations. This will
be Israel's precondition for any further negotiations with the PA. (Arabs are openly rejecting this idea. How many times can
Israel’s self-hating politicians betray the country for the same empty
promises? Wasn’t recognition of Israel a condition of the Oslo Agreement?)
Rice: Golan an
Issue at Annapolis. American
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told her Russian counterpart in a recent
meeting that she would bring up the status of the Golan Heights (Jewish land) at the Annapolis. However, she has
since stated that the issue is not on the table. (What
right does she have to make such statement on behalf of Israel? In her next
statements Israel’s FM must say that the US is willing negotiate the return of
all occupied land to Mexico. I wonder, what will the US reaction be?)
Nothing has Changed. 1. PA Foreign Minister Riad Maliki's remarks on an
Arabic radio station in the United States Friday, denying media reports that
the PA had agreed to break up the terrorist infrastructure, as required by the
Roadmap Plan and by the agreement at Sharm el-Sheikh. 2. PA) Chairman Mahmoud
Abbas, speaking at memorial services for Yasser Arafat Sunday, insisted that
all of eastern Jerusalem belongs to the PA and that several million foreign
Arabs have the right to immigrate to Israel. (Why
continue the same stupidity of pretend negotiations that will lead only to the
demise of Israel?)
Quote of the Week:
"It is the duty of the patriot to
protect his country [and people] from its [corrupt feudal] government." - Thomas
Paine.
No UN
Condemnation. Number of Iraqis
slaughtered since the U.S. invaded Iraq is 1,099,372 and rising (over 4 million
are displaced or refuges). Number of U.S. military personnel sacrificed
(officially acknowledged) In America's war in Iraq 3,857 and rising. Cost of
the war in Iraq close to 750 billions and rising.
No to Marrying Israelis. Egyptian
Islamic cleric Sheikh Farkhat Sayeed al-Mangie has ruled that Egyptian men are
forbidden to marry Israeli women, who are deemed as being outside of the
control of Islam. An Egyptian legislator has introduced a bill to make the
policy law. (Thank you for the ruling! It would be nice if he rules that it
is forbidden for Muslims to live in Israel also!)
Palestinians Seek Israeli Citizenship. About 3,000 Arab residents of Jerusalem have applied for Israeli
citizenship recently, after Ehud Olmert has suggested he would consider
allowing some Palestinian neighborhoods to become part of a Palestinian state. (Arabs hate Jews, but like benefit from Israel’s
lifestyle. And they know what PA rule means!)
Long-term Gaza
Invasion. Defense Minister Ehud Barak (Labor) said that the Israel Defense
Forces are approaching a major incursion into the Gaza Strip. "We are
getting closer to a large-scale operation in Gaza and we're likely to say there
for a long time." (Not another “long-term presence”! It does not work in war against
terror. A swift clean up of the enemy population is needed in Gaza to end the
terror of Qassam rocket attacks.)
Iran: We Have
3,000 Active Centrifuges. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad bragged that his
country's nuclear program is "irreversible,": "Today, we've
reached (fully active) 3,000
centrifuges," Some Western experts say that 3,000 centrifuges operating at
optimum conditions for a year could produce enough uranium for an atom bomb. (Must Israel always clean up the world’s mess, as in Iraq
in 1981? Where are those international Israel-bashing clowns when there is a
need to make a tough decision regarding the future security of the world?)
'Partner'
for One-Sided Concessions. Members of the Likud party criticized Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert for saying that the Palestinian Authority is a partner for peace.
"The Olmert- [Defense Minister Ehud] Barak government is the last one to
still not understand that the PA is only a partner for receiving one-sided
concessions." While terrorist groups in Gaza continue to fire rockets and
mortar shells at Israeli towns, the Likud MKs said, "Olmert continues to
create a false reality."
Missionary Turned-Jew Speaks Out
"But my 'downfall' began when I started learning
Hebrew. I was soon able to read the Bible in Hebrew, and then I began
realizing that virtually every prophesy that the New Testament quotes as being
a messianic prophecy was mistranslated, misattributed, chopped up, or sometimes
even invented out of thin air! But if you don’t understand Hebrew,
there's no way you can see these things." (It
would be more beneficial and effective if he as good a Christian spread the
message from within!)
Suing for
Destroying Jewish Temple Artifacts.
In an unprecedented legal move, Israeli citizens filed a criminal
lawsuit against the Muslim custodians of Judaism's holiest site, the Temple
Mount, alleging the Muslim trust destroyed Jewish antiquities, including a
possible wall from the Second Jewish Temple.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government this summer allowed
the Mount's Waqf Islamic custodians to use bulldozers and other heavy equipment
to dig a massive trench on the Temple Mount. Allowing the use of bulldozers at
any sensitive archaeological site is extremely unusual, particularly at the
Temple Mount, which experts say contains sealed layers of artifacts as shallow
as two to three feet below the surface. (Olmert
should be included in the lawsuit and forced to pay with all the money he
corruptly accumulated!)
