1. That target-killing of terrorists is an effective and acceptable way to deal with terrorists and state enemies. (Despite of the fact that Israel was constantly vilified by international bigots, even for the assassination of sheik Yasin, founder of Hamas?)

2. That covert military operations on a sovereign country can produce desired results and be met with overwhelming international support and cheers. (As long as it is not Israel targeting the Iraqi nuclear reactor.)

3. That it is OK not to inform an ally, Pakistan, of every step that is taken to punish enemies even if the operation is conducted on its sovereign soil. (Israel has almost mandatory requirement to inform the US of any step it makes to defend itself.)

4. That harsh interrogation techniques used by CIA at a secret prison in early 2004 provided a clue to finding Osama bin Laden. (The CIA had used sleep deprivation, slapping, nudity, water dousing and other coercive techniques)

"The debate about whether we would have gotten the same information through other approaches, I think, is always going to be an open question" - Leon Panetta, director of the CIA.

5. That it is permitted to make a decision to conduct a serious military operation on a gut feeling, even if there was no 100% guarantee that the target, Osama bin Laden, resided in the compound. Concern for ‘collateral’ damage was also brushed aside. (Israel must do everything right, triple-checking all data and aborting operations if civilians could be hurt!)

6. That it is acceptable to lie or manipulate information presented to the international community about details of the operation without any shame or fear of international rebuke. (This is definitely a big “No” for Israel, as international anti-Semites in media and politics love tormenting Israel endlessly.) They had lied that:

a) Osama bin Ladin offered armed resistance

b) CIA was certain that he was residing in a compound

c) A woman was used as a human shield.

“A woman killed during the raid of Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan was not his wife and was not used as a human shield by the al Qaeda leader before his death” – Reuters

d) President Obama watched live feed of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound.

"Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on.” - Leon Panetta, director of the CIA.

7. That it is OK to give 3 billion dollars a year of foreign ‘aid’ to the enemy, Pakistan, pretending it is a friend, without any scrutiny and having no disproportional ‘public’ outrage. (In contrast, Israel must work hard paying back - by purchasing the US arms, providing strategic and intelligence services in a hostile region, developing new weapon technology and being the best political ally the US ever had - for the aid it is receiving!)

Jews still need to unite in order to free all our land from enemy occupation, but this tiny country - surrounded by enemies, threatened constantly by terrorism and war, subject to an Arab economic boycott, frequently maligned by the media, torn within by ethnic and religious strife - is tied for 8th place among the world's happiest countries.

The time has come for Israel to realise that the first priority of any sovereign country is security of its own citizens and integrity of its national land. Appeasement of enemies and even friends never worked for Jews!

Pakistan the ‘Friend’ of the US!

Abbottabad, where a squadron of US Seals killed the al Qaeda leader Sunday night, May 2, is a Pakistani garrison town housing a large military base. His walled villa was just 100 meters away from a military academy and 120 kilometers from the capital, Islamabad. (Strangely, ISI - Pakistani FBI/CIA - had not known anything about residents of the compound, which was built only several years ago in this highly secure town. Pakistan receives billions of the US aid with no accountability for its active facilitation of the international Islamic terror!)

In a Spirit of Fatah-Hamas Reconciliation Deal

Gaza's Hamas rulers have executed a man convicted of collaborating with Israel. It was carried out shortly before Hamas signed a reconciliation deal with the rival Fatah movement to form a unity government.

Arabs in Knesset Support Enemies of Israel

Arab-Israeli MKs Ahmed Tibi, Muhammad Barakei and Taleb a-Sanaa traveled to Cairo to witness the signing ceremony of a Fatah-Hamas reconciliation agreement. The meeting marked the first time since 2006 that Abbas met with Khaled Mashaal, the Damascus-based leader of Hamas. Mashaal said: “We have decided to pay any price so that reconciliation is achieved. “Our real fight is with the Israeli occupier, not Palestinian factions and sons of the one nation (?). “Our aim is to establish a free and completely sovereign Palestinian state in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, whose capital is Jerusalem, without any settlers and without giving up a single inch of land and without giving up on (‘refugees’) right of return”. (This is a moderate statement by Hamas standards. The true agenda is to remove Israel off the map!)

Islamic Terror is anti-Western

What's at stake is nothing less than the survival of Western civilization. Binyamin Netanyahu outlines the critical steps needed to eradicate the threat of terrorism:

…the main motivation driving the terror network is an anti-Western hostility that seeks to achieve nothing less than a reversal of history. It seeks to roll back the West and install an extremist form of Islam as the dominant power in the world. And it seeks to do this not by means of its own advancement and progress, but by destroying the enemy. This hatred is the product of a seething resentment that has simmered for centuries in certain parts of the Arab and Islamic world.

…Militant Islamists resented the West for pushing back the triumphant march of Islam into the heart of Europe many centuries ago. Its adherents, believing in the innate supremacy of Islam, then suffered a series of shocks when, in the last two centuries that same hatred of the supposedly inferior West, penetrated Islamic realms in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Persian Gulf.

The soldiers of militant Islam do not hate the West because of Israel. They hate Israel because of the West. For them the mission was clear: The West had to be first pushed out of these areas. Pro-western Middle Eastern regimes were toppled in rapid succession, including Iran. And Israel, the Middle East's only democracy and its purest manifestation of Western progress and freedom, must be wiped off the face of the earth.

…they see it (Israel) as an island of Western democratic values in a Muslim-Arab sea of despotism. That is why they call Israel the Little Satan, to distinguish it clearly from the country that has always been and will always be the Great Satan - the United States of America.

Nothing better illustrates this than Osama bin Laden's call for Jihad against the United States in 1998. He gave as his primary reason not Israel, not the Palestinians, not the "peace process," but rather the very presence of the United States "occupying the land of Islam in the holiest of places" - and where is that? - "the Arabian peninsula" says Bin Laden, where America is "plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, and humiliating its people." Israel, by the way, comes a distant third, after "the continuing aggression against the Iraqi people" (Al Quds al Arabi, February 23, 1998). For the bin Ladens of the world, Israel is merely a sideshow. (and used as a propaganda tool in order to score cheap popularity and as a recruitment drive!)

Unfortunately, Netanyahu’s lucid understanding of the Arab-Israel conflict is expressed mainly prior or in-between holding the job of the Prime Minister Israel. He is feeble on action!
