The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan bashed Israel at the United Nations. They were among the many countries that signed onto seven draft anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian resolutions that the UN General Assembly’s Fourth Committee approved last week.
The texts are part of what has been an annual slew of almost 20 anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian approved by the UNGA at the end of each year. No other country has that many resolutions levelled against it on an annual basis.
Israel’s diplomatic relations with nations is often divorced from this process, so that countries otherwise considered allies of Israel, still vote against it at the UN. This includes Egypt and Jordan, who have peace deals with Israel, but who always oppose it at the UN, including drafting and submitting texts against it.
Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan warned the UN that these cyclical resolutions harmed the cause of peace and pointed to the normalization deals as an example of what is possible outside the arena of the UN.
“In the past couple of months, Israel has made peace with three Muslim countries. One of the reasons that we were able to achieve this peace was because the UN, with its distorted view of reality, was not involved,” Erdan said.
“Rather than play a constructive role in leading the Palestinians on the path to negotiations and peace, these resolutions further encourage Palestinian intransigence,” he added.
The US State Department has informally notified Congress that it plans to sell 18 sophisticated armed MQ-9B aerial drones to the United Arab Emirates in a deal worth as much as $2.9 billion. The move comes a week after the State Department informally notified Congress that it intends to sell 50 F-35 fighter jets to the UAE. The pending sales to the UAE follow in the wake of the UAE, along with Bahrain, normalizing ties with Israel in September. (So far, it is one-way 'normalization'!)

Does it really matter who provides a terror-funding scheme? It is just another distraction from the real issue – how to end the Arab-Israel conflict and reunite Jewish land! Not long ago Saddam of Iraq and Saudis did it. Now the PA uses international funds. It can ask for direct payments from Iran, Malaysia, Qatar etc... They will oblige! Only by the removal of the enemy population from Jewish land will Israel be able to end internal Islamic terrorism!
A United Nations General Assembly committee adopted a resolution that referred to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount solely by its Muslim name of Haram al-Sharif, one of seven resolutions that single out or condemn Israel, with zero on the entire rest of the world. (Using the uncertainty of the US election, 138 out of 193 UN member states supported this Anti-Semitic resolution!)
Yamina Party Knesset member Bezalel Smotrich called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to apply sovereignty to Judea and Samaria before the next US president is sworn in. Smotrich said there could be disagreements with a Biden administration, but that “it can be managed.” Biden’s vice-presidential running mate Kamala Harris said that they would “oppose annexation or settlement expansion.” “And we will take immediate steps to restore economic and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people..." she said.
Malawi’s Foreign Minister Eisenhower Mkaka joined Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi to announce his nation will open a permanent embassy in Jerusalem by the summer of 2021. Malawi is one of the few countries on the African continent with which Israel has had continuous ties since 1964. The Jewish State has provided ongoing aid to the country, with an emphasis on agriculture.
IDF Stopped another Land Grab!
The IDF has demolished a village, eighteen tents that housed 11 families, of Palestinian Bedouins near Tubas in the Jordan Valley, in a rare operation targeting an entire community at once. Army says the houses were built illegally in a training area! The Jordan Valley falls in the West Bank's Area C that is fully controlled by Israel. Under Israeli rules, Palestinians cannot build structures in the area without permits, which are typically refused, as Jews are not allowed to build in PA controlled areas.
US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper reportedly told Israel during his visit that the Trump administration had approved the sale of the F-22 Raptor and precision-guided bombs to Israel, as Washington promised steps for guaranteeing the IDF’s qualitative edge in the region, after its consent to sell F-35 stealth fighters to the United Arab Emirates. In the past, sale of F-22 was prohibited to foreign countries.
Quote of the Week:
“The Europeans have for hundreds of years been telling Jews where we could live. These areas used to be called Ghettos. Now that Jews have their own state, they want to export this idea to Israel. I guess they don't consider Israel a true state. They don't want Jews to feel at home in Europe, and they don't want them to feel independent in Israel. Yet they will do nothing about Muslims who kill and rape in European countries. Instead, they don't want law-abiding Jews. And yet they claim they are not anti-Semitic.” – Mail list correspondence - In spite of the Islamic intense Islamic hate toward infidels, Europeans actively assist enemies, Arab states and so-called Palestinians, to destroy the Jewish state. Meanwhile, Europe doesn’t want its Jews to live as Jews, trying to ban circumcision and kosher slaughter

“Is it good for the Jews?” This question has been asked in so many places and at so many times that it’s become a punchline. Applied to a potential Biden administration, the answer, unfortunately, isn’t funny...
The fact is, as much as Israel’s government and its American supporters want US support for Israel to remain bipartisan, the Democratic party has been moving away from Israel for some years...
Prepare for the US to re-enter the 2015 Iran nuclear deal – in President Donald Trump’s words “the worst deal ever negotiated,” under which Iran was allowed to keep its nuclear infrastructure, continue enriching uranium, and proceed with research and development... Biden will have plenty of help from France, Germany and England, all eager to prop up the deal in order to do business with Iran. What it means for Israel? Nuclear-tipped Ayatollahs.
2. Arab-Israel Conflict
Trump brought revolutionary thinking to the Arab-Israeli conflict... Trump’s main achievement was overturning the deeply held assumption that peace between Israel and the Arabs went through Ramallah; that only after the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was solved could the Jewish State ever hope to normalize relations with Arab countries. Trump did an end-run around the Palestinians and brokered three peace deals between Israel and Muslim countries.
Never mind that Trump proved it wrong; in a Biden administration, Israel can expect a return to the old way of thinking and the old pattern of excuses for the Palestinians, blame on Israel. Only a few months ago, Biden said Netanyahu “has undermined the stability of self-determination for the Palestinians, undercutting hope for a viable two-state solution any chance that he gets.”
The Palestinians have never left their modus operandi, i.e. not moving an inch in negotiations with a bottom line of the “return of refugees,” which even Israel’s Left identifies as the end of Israel via a demographic tidal wave. Faced with pressure for the first time from a Trump administration, they simply pulled out of any talks.
Under a Biden administration, they’ll be reinvigorated. Biden has promised to reopen the U.S. consulate in eastern Jerusalem and the PLO’s mission in Washington. His running-mate, Kamala Harris, reiterated that mission promise just before the election.
3. Anti-Jewish Elements
The Trump administration took steps to counter anti-Semitism, notably signing an Executive Order Combating Anti-Semitism in December in order to target Jew-hatred on campus...
Expect a Biden White House to allow in not just anti-Israel elements, but anti-Jewish ones. Biden first welcomed the support of anti-Semite and BDS activist Linda Sarsour...
The anti-Semitic Left is growing more vocal in Congress.... Those who dismiss these Democratic representatives as ‘only a handful’ miss the point. Omar, Tlaib and their ilk aren’t a few, they’re effective spokespeople for anti-Israel, anti-Semitic attitudes pervasive in the (Democratic) party...
The old guard of the Democratic party fears the new wave. They will placate them on Israel and on other issues... Israel has enjoyed four years of plenty under the Trump administration. It’s likely to be followed by four lean years under a Biden administration!
