Army is
Protecting Egyptian Democracy
No Matter
What!
When the clashes between Egyptian security forces and
pro-Morsi protesters were at their peak in Cairo on Wednesday, Aug. 14 - 525 dead and 3,700 wounded
to date - President Barack Obama put in a call to Egypt’s strongman, Gen. Abdel-Fattah El-Sissi. The general refused to accept the call, anticipating
a scolding like the one which forced Hosni Mubarak to quit. The harsh
international condemnation of Gen. El-Sissi’s
crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood - led by Washington - will exacerbate the crisis by pushing both sides
to greater extremes. (It may be politically
incorrect, but the Egyptian army had no other option but to do what is right
for the country - depose the Muslim Brotherhood dictatorship which was about to destroy democracy and
impose Islamic dictatorship. The Egyptian army could not wait, knowing what
Turkish Islamic government has done to the leadership of the Turkish army - the
guardians of the secular constitution!)
Happy New Year - Shana Tova!
I take the opportunity to wish you and yours a healthy, happy and
prosperous New Year. May 5774 be a peaceful year for
all.

Sunni Arabs Dragging US into Internal War Against Shi’ites
Arab
media calls from the Sunni world (most of the Gulf states, including Saudi Arabian ‘masters’) for US intervention in Syria. The articles before and especially after the
alleged Syrian chemical attack focus on shaming US president Barack Obama into
action using moral arguments (suddenly morality has
become an important issue for Arab dictators). The other kind of article
that has appeared is one that shows Saudi Arabia as valiant for standing up to the US for its support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, for its lack of support for the Syrian rebels (terrorists).
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
Surprisingly and quite
suspiciously, the Western democracies, even usually timid France,
are so eager to destroy the Assad regime. Involvement
in the Syrian Civil war is a no-win situation for the West. Support for the
removal of Assad will bring another Islamic chaos,
like in Iraq
and Egypt!
It seems that the pre-occupation with Syria
gives them the opportunity to conveniently forget and ignore the bigger threat,
nuclear armed Iran,
and appease Saudi Arabia!
Let Arabs Deal
with Syrian Mess
Arab states urged the international
community to take action against the Syrian government on Sunday. The
resolution passed by an Arab League meeting in Cairo urged the United Nations and
international community to "take the deterrent and necessary measures
against the culprits of this crime that the Syrian regime bears responsibility
for." (There are 22 Arab states! Why don’t they
spend their own petro-dollars and risk the lives of Muslim solders dealing with
situation in Syria? Why must ‘infidels’ do the
dirty job for them? Interestingly, the Arab League did not formally endorse the
US attack on Syria.)
US is still in Denial
Despite reports that PA
negotiators have cancelled a planned round of peace talks with Israel in Jericho after an IDF operation in Qalandiya (IDF officers were on a raid to catch a "terror
suspect" when more than 1,500 Palestinians took to the streets and
attacked them with firebombs and rocks), US insists that no meeting has been cancelled. (The US is force-feeding a useless
peace process to both sides! Two of the killed terrorists were convicted
murderers who had been freed to buy freedom for Gilad
Shalit.)
Negotiation
with Non-Representative Entity
The PA will soon take “painful decisions” against
Hamas, announced a senior Fatah official Azzam al-Ahmed. He said that Hamas
would no longer be considered a partner in any process after the decisions are
taken by the PA leadership. (Fatah lost its last
election to Hamas. A new election is long overdue. Hamas represents more than a
half of the non-Jewish residents of Gaza, Judea and Samaria. Why would Israel
negotiate with an entity, Fatah, which legally represents no one?)
Mad Dog is still Barking
Turkish PM blamed Israel for Morsi's
downfall and unrest in Egypt. He chastised Washington for having denounced his claim that Israel was behind the coup that deposed Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood- affiliated
president, Mohamed Morsi. Erdogan
said “It (US) should not have mentioned it, it should
not have reacted like this. As two members of NATO, that one ally shows this
kind of approach to the other is not appropriate.” (Why
should arrogance and disrespect be exclusively used by Muslim countries only?
Respect is two-way street. It must be earned!)
Netanyahu
Rebukes French Wrong Assumption
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not
the root cause of Mideast instability,
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius a day after Fabius said it
was perhaps the central issue in the region. The root of the area’s instability
is the regional (Arab/Muslim) rejection of modernity, moderation, progress and
political solutions. (Europeans love to blame Jews
for everything!)
Under
the Cloud of Syrian War
A
new report from the United Nations’ nuclear agency finds that Iran has further boosted its capacity for uranium
enrichment. IAEA reported that Tehran has now installed 1,008 advanced IR2m centrifuges at
its Natanz plant, compared with almost 700 in May. It
also says the Islamic Republic has begun making nuclear fuel for its planned Arak heavy-water research reactor.
Egypt Bulldozed Homes along the Gaza Strip
Egypt's military has bulldozed 13 homes along the Gaza
Strip border and caved in tunnels beneath them as a prelude to the possible
creation of a buffer zone to reduce weapon smuggling and illegal terrorist
crossings. (Where is outcry from international
anti-Semitic hypocrites?)
Quote
of the Week:
“What people don't realize when it comes to Arab states is the fact that
"NO POLITICAL SYSTEM" ever fits them. An Arab, whether a liberal, or
democrat, nationalist, Islamist, rightist, or lefties is the same thing,
because Arabs are tend not to accept
each others and can never learn to co-exist with other nations.” - Şêrko Sebrî
Botanî, a Facebook comment.
Are We being Duped Again?
Press conference, Apr 24, 2013.
Syrian Minister of Information Omran
al-Zoubi stressed that Syria is facing a real war of
which media is a primary dimension… al-Zoubi said the
media war waged against Syria has many elements that have to do with banning
the Syrian media outlets from using modern techniques in order to prevent it
from conveying the reality of the events in the country.
The Minister added that there is a technical and
technological siege imposed to prevent developing the broadcast of the Syrian
media, indicating another dimension to the media war on Syria in terms of dozens of satellite channels and PR
companies that receive huge wages to work on a conspiratorial project under the
title "demonizing the Syrian state and institutions."
…Minister al-Zoubi said
that there are lots of evidence that prove the involvement of gunmen from
different countries, in addition to the involvement of many governments and
intelligence agencies in training, arming and funding these gunmen. He pointed
out to the acts of the armed terrorist groups against the national media
institutions and staff, adding that terrorists have destroyed 28 hospitals and
more than 1200 schools, highlighting that thousands of industrial institutions
were looted and transported to Turkey.
…The Minister stressed that there is nothing called
the "Free Army," saying this so-called Free Army is not an
institution but rather "a brand." He added that the majority of those
fighting on the ground are affiliates to Al Qaeda
through Jabhat al-Nusra and
are receiving funds from Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia… (Isn’t it a bit too
convenient (suspicious) that almost immediately after the Syrian government
allowed UN inspectors into the country to investigate previous gas attacks
another alleged major chemical weapon attack was launched? The attack has
immediately been followed by massive and well-orchestrated anti-Syrian
propaganda campaign world-wide. Are we being brainwashed again - as we were before
the last war against Iraq? Why the Western powers so eager to
support Islamic terrorists?)
Dangerous
Escalation of War in Syria
Within
48 hours, Assad and Iran launched a three-point punitive offensive for
foreign intervention in the Syrian war. The facts: The Sarin
nerve gas shells which claimed more than 1,000 Syrian lives on Wednesday, Aug.
21, were fired by the 155th Brigade of the Syrian army’s 4th Division commanded
by Gen. Maher Assad (President’s brother) from Mount Kalmun. This atrocity was followed by a rocket attack on Israel from Lebanon and deadly blasts in Tripoli. At the same time videos
posted on YouTube show Free Syrian Army, or FSA, rebel
forces launching a Sarin gas attack on a Syrian
village. (Why would Israel become involved in Syrian
mess and anti-Assad propaganda and possible
fabrication? Isn’t “the enemy you know”, Assad,
better than the Islamic
terrorists at the door step of Israel?)
