What, exactly, is Phase II, and who enforces it? It is the stage in which Hamas is supposed to cease being an armed force. Gaza is supposed to cease being militarized, and Israel is supposed to accept that the threat has been neutralized.
President Donald Trump speaks confidently of progress, sequencing, and moving forward. Diplomats speak of frameworks, timelines, and confidence building measures. Committees are proposed. Funds are pledged. Yet Phase II is never described honestly, because honesty would require answering three questions no one wants to own.
Who takes the weapons?
Who verifies compliance?
And who acts when compliance fails?
“Phase II" does not solve the problem. It merely postpones it.
Hamas cannot disarm voluntarily because its weapons are not only aimed outward. They are essential for internal survival. Hamas is widely hated by large segments of Gaza’s population, which it has ruled through fear, repression, and violence.
Hamas has no political identity separate from its ideology. Its charter, worldview, and internal legitimacy are built around a religiously framed mission that defines armed struggle and the destruction of Israel not as a tactic, but as a divine obligation.
In practice, this means that any international force acceptable to Israel would need contributors prepared to use force against Hamas fighters who refuse to comply. Yet the very states most eager to participate are among those least likely to authorize such action. The result is paralysis by design.
Finally, rebuilding Gaza without enforcement is not stability. It is strategic amnesia. Naming Phase II without defining its mechanics is not leadership. It is avoidance.
Hope is not a strategy. And Phase II, absent a credible mechanism, is not a phase. It is an illusion (most likely a deliberate delusion).

Standoff with Iran over nuclear inspections cannot last forever. IAEA has been unable to inspect any of the three key sites that were bombed in June - Natanz, Fordo or Isfahan. Iran must first file a report to the IAEA on what happened to those sites and material, including an estimated 440.9 kg of uranium enriched to up to 60% purity, close to the roughly 90% weapons-grade level. That is enough material, if enriched further, for 10 nuclear bombs.
Ending anti-Israel UNRWA Hypocrisy
Israel began bulldozing the headquarters of UN agency for Palestinian refugees in eastern Jerusalem. Israel has long accused the United Nations Relief and Works Agency of collaborating with Hamas, and last year banned it from operating on its territory. The demolition marked Israel’s latest and most dramatic step against UNRWA. According to the Foreign Ministry, "UNRWA employees participated in the October 7th massacre and the kidnapping of Israelis. Numerous employees within the organization are Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists, and the organization’s infrastructure has been used for tunnel construction, rocket fire, and terrorist activities. UNRWA-Hamas has long ceased to be a humanitarian aid organization, serving instead as a greenhouse for terrorism." (Its purpose ALWAYS was to perpetuate the “refugee” problem until they could take over Israel. Finally - Enough is enough'!)

Can Netanyahu Stop Trump's Gaza Board?

Who are the members, potential and otherwise, of Trump's Peace Board:
PAKISTAN? - Does Trump not know that Pakistan has been at war with India for decades over the disputed Kashmir territory?
TURKEY? - Does Trump not know that Erdogan hates Israel and is openly anti-Semitic, anti-Israel?
QATAR? - Is Trump unaware that Qatar has a history of financially supporting Hamas?
AUSTRALIA? - The Aussie PM is openly anti-Semitic/anti-Israel.
Perhaps Trump has something up his sleeve that he will surprise the world with while he dupes it into a slumber with this ludicrous "peace board"?
It is hoped that Netanyahu will put his foot down and say an unequivocal NO to Trump. Gaza is Israel's show, not Trump's. How many brave soldiers has Israel lost?? - fighting to rid Gaza of the Hamas terrorist group sworn to its destruction.
But if necessary to ensure Israel's control over its destiny, Israel should quickly unilaterally formally annex Gaza and thereby assume full political control of the strip.
