Judas was not a Traitor!

Not long ago, a non-Jewish friend of mine asked me to view “Passion of Christ” movie and send him my comments, from Jewish prospective. While I was watching the movie, I was amazed by enormous disrespect toward not only Jewish traditions, but for the writings of the Christian Bible as well. Mel Gibson’s ‘directors creativity’ had brought to my mind words like falsification, forgery, distortion and contempt.

While writing the comments for my friend, I took out the book of New Testament, just to make sure that I was not mistaken about the inaccuracies that I had noticed in the movie. In the process of this review, I stumbled upon John chapter 13 which proves that throughout the history of Christianity, Judas, and as result all Jews, have been suffering the false accusation of treason:

18. I know so well each one of you I chose... “One who eats supper with me will betray me, and this will soon come true. I tell you this now so that when it happens, you will believe in me. (Why would they need additional proof, in order to believe in him?)

21. "I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me." (Several times in the Christian Bible Jesus predicted his demise!)

26. "It is the one to whom I honour by giving the bread when I dipped in the sauce." Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon…

27. Then Jesus told him, “Hurry – do it now” (He had chosen the most trusted of his disciples to perform this daunting task and commanded Judas to go to the Temple authorities immediately.)

28. None of the others at the table knew what Jesus meant. (Another reason why Jesus had chosen Judas)

29. Some thought that since Judas was their treasure (the most trusted member), Jesus was telling him to go and pay for the food or give some money to the poor. (None of them had understood their teacher’s plan of self-fulfilling prophecy!)

At the same time it was Peter who denounced his teacher three times. Little wonder, that after he later became the first Christian Pope, he needed to find a scapegoat so that people would not scrutinize his own actions!

Thus, this chapter supports the ideas expressed in the recently published Gospels according to Judah, which the Church excluded from the New Testament, along with the gospels of Thomas and hundreds of other writings. Many questions came to mind: Do most Christians actually read and study their own Bible? If they do, why have they been fostering the hatred of Jews for centuries; the hatred, which is based on a false accusation against one out of twelve Jewish disciples of the Jewish teacher!

This week Jews commemorated The Holocaust. At the same time the UK schools are removing the Holocaust from school curriculum, because it "offended" the Moslem population which claims it never occurred. Hypocritical world is trying to forget the memory of  the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians  and 1,900  Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped,  burned, starved  and humiliated while the Germans and all International community Europeans were looking the other way! The Holocaust is not just about the Jews – it is about the Humanity!

True Zionists Denied Freedom of Speech. On April 28th, 2006 the Masada2000.org website shut down. If only Muslim and Christians truly respected the words of their prophets, Mohamed and Christ: the world would be full of reverence toward the Jews; the Palestinian mandate - Jewish land - would not be divided; Arabs would leave Eretz-Israel peacefully of their own accord and there would be no Arab-Israel conflict; the United Nations would not need to dedicate almost 60% of its resolutions on battering Israel! If only they were true Christians and Muslims! Is it too much to ask?

Usual Political Prostitution is Back. Five European countries (Britain, Denmark, Italy, Norway and Sweden) and the European Commission signed an accord on Friday under which they will give $5.2 million for administrative reforms within the PA presidency. (Actually, it has never stopped!)

AIDS in Vegetables? According to ‘highly intelligent’ Saudi Arabians, yes. A text message spreading through Saudi Arabia claiming melons entering the kingdom from Israel are infected with AIDS is causing a frenzy. The rumour, despite being denied several times, has gained much steam in the Arab world.

Quote of the Week:

"They have said, 'Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more'" - (Psalms 83:4) – It is a warning to the Jews. We must squash the evil intentions of all our enemies! Unfortunately, they respect us only when we show our might.

Terrorists within Israel. Arab MK Abbas Zakour wants the release of all 150 Israeli-Arab terrorists from Israel’s prisons, saying it would "open a new page in Israeli-Arab relations." Israeli-Arabs have increasingly become involved in terrorist acts in Israel, and an internal Shabak (General Security Service) document says Israel's Arabs are a long-range strategic danger to Israel's character and very existence. The GSS has found that in the year 2006, 21 Israeli-Arab terror cells were uncovered. (There is only one way to stop terror in Israel – it is to let all the Arabs go!)

UK reporters Boycott of Israel. Britain's National Union of Journalists denounced Israel on Friday for its "military adventures" in Gaza and Lebanon, called on the government to impose sanctions and urged a boycott of Israeli goods. (They do not propose a boycott of the PA for kidnapping of a Western journalist. They are scared to condemn the suicide bombings and beheading of people by Arab terrorists. What ‘brave’ and ‘impartial’ media professionals Western society has!)

Systematic Destruction of Agriculture. Arab and left-wing Jewish vandals uprooted and destroyed hundreds of grapevines and fruit trees in the Gush Etzion hilltop community of Sde Boaz last Friday. In addition to the destruction of the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and fruit trees Friday, expensive irrigation systems were damaged and stolen as well. (Nothing is done by the Israeli government to stop regular attacks on Jewish farms.)

No One Reads Retractions. Two professors who published a controversial paper on the "Israel lobby" appear to have walked away from their claim that pro-Israel voices were principally responsible for the Iraq war. "Israel's endorsement was hardly the only reason why the United States went to war, of course, but to say that Israel did not encourage it is wrong," John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt now say. (Pick on Jews; make a name for yourself - after all, no one cares about the truth when Jews are concerned. This has always been the motto of the so-called ‘intellectuals’!)

Deceit of Peace, while Arming and Talking Terror. While Hamas is moderating its tone in order to renew international funding and is trying to convince Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to accept a ceasefire declaration in Judea and Samaria. Hamas is arming Islamic Jihad and other terrorist groups with long-range rockets. In a recent sermon on PA TV, Hamas spokesman Dr. Ismail Radwan reiterated Hamas’s classic ideology that: ”The Hour – the Islamic resurrection and end of days – is dependent on the killing of Jews by Muslims… Palestine… will be liberated through the rifle," meaning that Israel will be destroyed through violence. The Hamas spokesman ended his sermon with a prayer to Allah to "take" Israel and the USA.

Israel must quit ‘Arab land’ to co-exist with Muslims? Jordan's King Abdullah II urged Israel “If Israel wants to co-exist with more than a billion Muslims, it should end its occupation of Palestinian and Arab lands.” (It would be better if the king with his subjects left the Jewish land – Jordan. In return Israel would pledge a peaceful co-existence with the Arabs!)
