Jews can't Buy Land in Judea and Samaria

(Israel National News)

The Supreme Court handed down a preliminary injunction requiring the government to submit, within 60 days, a defense of its continued enforcement of Jordanian Law #40 which prohibits the sale of land in Judea and Samaria to Jews. This law, passed in the 1950s during the Jordanian occupation, remains in force to this very day. (Why did it take so long to ask this question?)

Jews, and only Jews, are denied access to the Land Registry for this region, unlike any other area under Israeli jurisdiction, where land deeds and property titles can be obtained with the click of a mouse and downloaded from the government’s website. Likewise, Jews – and only Jews – are required to obtain approval of any property transactions (even when both the buyer and seller are Jews) in Judea and Samaria; Jews alone are subject to a staggering array of military orders that obstruct the use of land – and the list goes on and on. (Would it qualify Israel as an apartheid state because it discriminates against JEWS?)

Arab Stealing Land from Israel

Arab fields ‘destroyed by IDF’ found to be lands stolen from Israel.

Agricultural fields in the Jordan Valley, which the local Arabs claim were destroyed by the “cruel occupation,” are in fact “one of the biggest areas of agricultural annexation and a key Palestinian Authority focus point for the takeover of the Jordan Valley. The Arab residents of Bardala have illegally taken control of an IDF training zone, part of the Palestinian Authority-guided de-facto annexation of Area C in Judea and Samaria. Area C is under full Israeli control, as per the Oslo Accords. (Why, after almost 60 years since the Six Day war, is there no proper control of and registration and its enforcement in Judea and Samaria?)

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

Anti-Israel hypocrisy prevails again!

Just hours after Israel broke its neutrality and condemned the envision of Ukraine, Russian deputy ambassador, Polyanskiy, during the UN the Security Council meeting, in order to gain support from Muslim states, condemned the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights and said that Russia does not recognize Israel's sovereignty in the region and reneges the recognition of Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem by Moscow. Cynically, he did it at the time when the General Assembly was debating the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

Israel Condemned Russian Invasion

Breaking neutrality, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid in a statement called the Russian mass invasion of its neighbour a 'serious violation' after a day earlier stopping short of condemning the country. Israel has remained neutral on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine as tensions between the two countries intensified in recent days. (It looks like Moldova, Belarus and Kazakhstan maybe next.)

Russia Continues Military Coordination with Israel in Syria

Despite expressing displeasure over Israel's apparent support of Ukraine, Russian embassy says 'deconfliction mechanism' - which prevents the two countries to clash during Israeli operations in Syria - proven to be useful and will continue to work.

Nuclear Deal – All Sides have the Will to Procrastinate

Iran is ready to "immediately conclude" a deal in talks to revive its 2015 nuclear accord with world powers if Western powers show real will. A senior US State Department official said negotiators had made significant progress in the past week or so on reviving the deal but very tough issues remained. (The longer this charade goes on, the closer Iran gets to the production of a nuclear weapon. After that, like it was said in the ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ show, "Nothing can be done about it".)

Russia Denounced Israel’s Sovereignty over Golan Heights

At a UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday, where “Israel apartheid” was the focus rather than Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s envoy said “Russia doesn’t recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights that are part of Syria.” “We are concerned over Tel Aviv’s announced plans for expanding settlement activity in the occupied Golan Heights, which directly contradicts the provisions of the 1949 Geneva Convention,” the Russian Mission tweeted. (This is a hypocritical attempt to gain support from anti-Semitic/anti-Israel international idiots! They are not ‘concerned’ over sovereignty of Ukraine, and any conventions or agreements Russia has signed. Considering the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this is a new definition of chutzpah!)

PA Expelling Bedouins - No International Outcry

The PA has expelled Bedouin residents from the Jericho/Jordan Valley area in order to build an upscale tourist attraction and block the expansion of Israeli settlements. At the same time, Mahmoud Abbas has consistently taken the side of the Bedouin residents of the illegal community of Khan al-Ahmar.

Quote of the Week:

"Enrichment (to 60% and more) can be done at any moment when (officials) decide or there is the will for it." - Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran - The previous as well as the possible current deal are not worth the paper they are written on. Sadly, all people involved in the 'negotiations' know about it and are hypocritically buying time for Iran to advance its nuclear program.

Israel - High Priority for the UN Anti-Semites

by Batya Jerenberg

The UN envoy slammed the UN for focusing on Israel instead of on Palestinian terrorists and their Iranian backer – or the Ukrainian crisis.

“While these organizations, in addition to UN bodies, spend countless hours and resources demonizing Israel, (they are unwilling) to find true discrimination and human rights violations they do not have to look far,” Ambassador Gilad Erdan said. “All they have to do is look at how the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Hamas treat political dissidents, minorities, women, and the LGBTQ community.

“Where are the reports condemning the Palestinian law threatening life imprisonment for selling land to someone only because they were born a Jew? Where are the humanitarian organizations decrying the PA’s pay-for-slay policy?”

“Iran, the world’s number one state-sponsor of terror, spreads chaos and death across the region. It funds an army of six terrorist proxies dedicated to establishing a Shiite hegemony throughout the region,” Erdan said, adding, “If this is how Iran acts now, it is frightening to imagine what the region will look like when Iran becomes a nuclear threshold state.”

Erdan said that there were also far more serious issues for the Council to deal with right now than what he called the Palestinians’ “false allegations.”

“The clouds of unrest, violence, and war cast long shadows across the world,” he said, with obvious reference to Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine. “One might wonder what the urgency was to turn a closed monthly debate into an open one while such critical matters to global security are being discussed in the General Assembly as we speak.”
