Israel is Replacing US Made Weapons by Hana Levi Julian The Israeli Defense Ministry issued a two-part tender requesting bids to supply the Israel Defense Forces with Israeli-made M4 assault rifles. Up to this point, Israel has purchased most of its small arms - such as the M16 and M4 rifles, and sniper rifles - from the United States. US-supplied arms come with a heavy price: when an American administration disagrees with Israeli government war goals and/or methods, US presidents can and have chosen to slow-walk the supply of previously ordered and badly needed weapons while the IDF is fighting enemies trying to annihilate the Jewish State. Just a few months later, President Joe Biden withheld delivery to Israel of a shipment of 2,000-lb “bunker buster” bombs after the IDF proceeded to invade the southern Gaza city of Rafah despite a White House order to stay out of the city. Israel Defense Forces have since uncovered more than 30 Hamas smuggling terror tunnels in the city and its adjacent Philadelphi Corridor. At least 25 tunnels have stretched from Rafah, beneath the Gaza border right into Egypt itself. In April, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on Israel’s defense industry to boost local production of weapons and ammunition. Netanyahu said in a statement that Israel needs to be “much more independent in the production capacity of the weapons we need.” Israel has spent NIS 30 billion on local procurement since the outbreak of the war with Hamas on October 7. At least NIS 16.4 billion was spent on defense equipment, ammunition and weapons; NIS 100 million has been spent on drones, and NIS 920 million spent on computer equipment. Most of the production was carried out by Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak Enemies of Israel, international Jew-haters and ‘friends’, be it Arabs/Muslims or traditional European anti-Semites, do not even bother to engage in meaningful and factual debate with Israel and Jews. ‘They’ resort to baseless accusations and slander of anything Israel does in defence. ‘They’ say, “poor Palestinians”, knowing (they are not stupid) that before 1964 there was no such nation or country, and that most leaders of fake Palestinians are not poor, thanks to the generosity of international anti-Semites and the Israel-hating UN. ‘They’ accuse Israel of violating international laws, but never say which ones. ‘They’ have never really condemned the terror attacks on Israel by Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. All ‘They’ are trying to deny victory to Israel again, by calling for another ‘permanent’ ceasefire until terror attacks will resume. Senior Israeli army officials are asking the political echelon to give them the go-ahead to strike Hezbollah. The IDF has extensive plans for operations against Hezbollah for a number of scenarios, which the military believes could cripple the terror group’s capabilities without triggering an all-out war. After ten months of non-stop rocket, missile, and UAV fire, tens of thousands (over 60,000) of residents of northern Israel remain displaced by the attacks. The PA Finally to Pay Its Electric Bill After decades of evading its debt to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) - during which Arabs living in Judea and Samaria enjoyed unpaid-for electricity - the Finance Ministry and PA representatives reached an agreement in which the Authority will pay its debt of two billion NIS. Israel Ended PA Funding Deal with Norway The Foreign Ministry will end an arrangement with Norway to assist in the transfer of frozen tax funds earmarked for the Palestinian Authority (PA) that were collected by Israel. The ministry's decision comes in response to Norway's recognition of a Palestinian State and its criticism of Israel and its war in Gaza. Don't Publicly Discuss Security Matters As Israel braces for attacks by Iran and Hezbollah, Prime Minister Netanyahu has instructed his cabinet ministers not to openly discuss matters of defense. The Israeli intelligence community believes Iran has decided to attack Israel directly and may do so within days. It is understood that Iran has returned to its promises as it has threatened since the elimination of Ismail Haniyeh. IDF Blew up Explosives Lab in 'Refugee Camp' IDF forces operated in the Balata ‘refugee camp’ in Nablus and located a laboratory for the production of explosive charges, which contained explosives that were ready to be used. IDF engineering forces blew up the laboratory. (Hamas and PIJ were operating the weapons plant in the Gaza humanitarian zone.) UNRWA Facilitated Terrorist Attacks Against Israel Nine United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) employees were “likely” involved in the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, a United Nations spokesperson confirmed. The UN did not provide details on what actions the employees may have carried out, but noted that they would be fired from their roles. The final report on UNRWA staff involvement in the Oct. 7 attacks will remain confidential for legal reasons. Israel made allegations far beyond what the UN investigated, saying in March that over 450 UNRWA staff were affiliated with terrorist groups in Gaza. "It is too little too late, but the truth is starting to come to light. Many hundreds of UNRWA employees are Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) operatives,” the Foreign Ministry said. (UNRWA controlled schools and hospitals have been used by Hamas as command centers, training facilities, entries to terror tunnels, and attack points. UNRWA must be closed and replaced by UNHCR.) True Colours of Fake Palestinians Revealed By hailing Haniyeh as a ‘great leader,’ Abbas and his PA cohorts are sending a message to all Palestinians that the murderous Hamas leader is their role model. The Palestinian Authority (PA) should have been happy over the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh. PA President Mahmoud Abbas appears to have forgotten that Haniyeh represents a group that carried out a violent and brutal coup against his loyalists in the Gaza Strip back in 2007. The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) reported in 2007 that at least 161 Palestinians were killed and more than 700 wounded during fighting between Hamas on one side and members of Abbas’s security forces and Fatah faction on the other. Quote of the Week: "When Iran calls for the destruction of Israel, no one cries ‘escalation' (or 'genocide'). When Iran wages a shadow war on Israel through proxies like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis (to name only a few), no one cries ‘escalation.' The selective cries of escalation only seem to come when Israel dares to defend itself in response to Iranian aggression. Israel may be the only nation on earth that would be accused of escalation after daring to defend itself against 7,000 mass murder attempts by the world’s most heavily armed terrorist organization (Hezbollah). The absurdity of the double standard has become too glaring to ignore." - Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY) called out those who accuse Israel of causing an "escalation" while ignoring the attacks against the Jewish State. This War Must not be in Vain by Steven Shamrak I published this article in July 2006. Nothing has changed since! Israel is still attacked by terrorist groups from Gaza, and by Hezbollah. Anti-Israel resolutions are tabled in the UN. The 'Friends' are still urging Israel to exercise restraint and pushing for a ceasefire. Some names are different, but ‘THEY’, the international Israel-haters, are still playing the same anti-Semitic game! Since Israel's withdrawal from Gaza several months ago, Gaza became a launching pad for various Arab terror groups. Over 1,000 rockets and an uncountable number of mortar shells were fired toward Israel. Last month’s attack on the security post and the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier by Hamas was the last straw. If anyone thinks that all of this is just a random act of terror - they are mistaken. The coordinated war against Israel had been waged even before the inception of the Jewish state. It had been carried out on the fields of battle and in the corridors of the United Nations (and League of Nations). It is a well-coordinated, greased by oil and anti-Semitism, effort! Immediately after the military escalation in Gaza, Hezbollah was prepared for military operations, with well-planned attacks on Israeli border patrols and the firing of hundreds of long-range missiles. At the same time, the diplomatic war was activated, as well. It did not take long for Qatar to prepare and table an anti-Israel resolution in the UN Security Council. Contrary to the beliefs of many, the US support for Israel will not last long. The US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has already urged Israel to exercise restraint, as has President Bush. Arab neighbours forced Israel to fight many wars against them. A while ago the late president of Egypt Saddat said: "We only need to win one war!" Fortunately for Jews, Israel has won each of them, so far. Every time Israel was about to end conflict by decisive victory over her Arab enemies, the international community, including the USA, stepped in and denied Jews the victory by threat of military, economic and political actions against Israel. The Lebanese government is responsible for Hezbollah's hostility against Israel. Since Israel left Lebanon in 2000, it has disarmed all militias but Hezbollah. The Lebanese army was not deployed in Southern Lebanon and for years the group was given complete freedom of action. At the same time, the Olmert government, as the executioner of a Disengagement plan, is completely responsible for the escalation of Arab terror from Gaza. It is a well-known fact that for Arab Palestinians nothing is going to be enough, even if Israel gives up it all: Judea, Samaria, Gaza and eastern Jerusalem. But gutless, self-hating and corrupt Israeli politicians chose to ignore this fact! UNIFIL, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, was supposed to prevent Hezbollah from taking over southern Lebanon, instead the ‘Ugly Nazi’ facilitated the take-over. For how long do Jews have to tolerate indecisiveness of their own governments, the duplicity and blatant anti-Semitism of the international community and, the openly expressed, intentions of Arab and Muslim countries to destroy Israel? The time has come to use the military advantage Israel has at the moment and crush our enemies once and for all. Otherwise, with the rising oil crises and the world’s oil dependency, as well as possible development of the Islamic WMD, it will be too late. Israel must regain full control over Jewish land and remove terror infested, hostile populations from our land - Eretz-Israel. Israel must not miss this opportunity. We must act now! Note: Over 1000 missiles have been fired on Israel by Hezbollah since the abduction of the two Israeli soldiers on the Israeli side of the border with Lebanon. - The time to end this bizarre status quo is now!
