Israel - is Fourth Election Coming?

by ASSOCIATED PRESS

Israel’s president on Sunday turned down a request from Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz for a two-week extension to form a new coalition government...

Gantz last month was given the task of forming a government by Rivlin after a narrow majority of lawmakers said they backed him to become prime minister. But in an abrupt about face, Gantz later announced he would instead try to form an “emergency” government with Netanyahu’s Likud party to deal with the country’s coronavirus crisis.

Since then, negotiations on a power-sharing agreement between Gantz and Netanyahu appear to have stalled. At the same time, Gantz’s Blue and White alliance has fragmented, leaving him with a shrunken version of his original party and few viable options...

Rivlin’s office said he made his decision after speaking to Netanyahu as well. It noted that Netanyahu gave no indication that an agreement was near. He said he would reconsider if both sides together requested an extension in order to finalize a deal.

If Netanyahu can win the backing of a majority of lawmakers in the 120-seat parliament, he would then get a chance to form a government. After recruiting one defector from the opposing camp, Netanyahu currently has the backing of 59 lawmakers. He needs two more to eke out a majority.

But if Netanyahu is unable to do so, the Knesset, or parliament, would then have 21 days to select an alternative prime minister. A failure to agree on a candidate would plunge the country into its fourth consecutive election in just over a year.

NOTE: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu relayed his request to President Reuven Rivlin to be given a mandate to form a government. Netanyahu said he has the support of 59 members!

Chag Pesach Samech!

May this Passover bring you peace, happiness, love and defeat of all enemies of Jewish people!

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

Most contemporary Jewish organisations are functioning as social clubs. Zionist ideology is set aside and is replaced by fake social pluralism and appeasement of anti-Semites! Even anti-Zionist Jewish groups are allowed to be members. The task of creating of Eretz-Israel has not yet completed, but they have already given up and submitted to anti-Semitic pressure and self-hating or self-serving tendencies!

Is the Fourth Election Coming?

A new poll indicates that if elections were held today, the Likud, led by Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, would receive 42 Knesset seats, and Blue and White, led by MK Benny Gantz, would receive 18 Knesset seats. The poll gives right-wing bloc 64 seats, Labor disappears from the political map. (Likud could have more votes/seats if Netanyahu stepped down.)

Europeans Became 'Brave'!

The Palestinian Authority squandered nearly €2 billion ($2.7 billion) in European aid through corruption and mismanagement, according to a not-yet-published European document. The European Court of Auditors (ECA), an EU organ set up in 1975 to audit the EU’s income and spending, found that Europe had little control over €1.95 billion ($2.64 billion) spent in the West Bank and Gaza between 2008 and 2012. (As long as funds are spent against Israel, anti-Semitic bastards do not mind! Most likely, the report will never be published.)

Lake Kinneret is Full

After an unusually wet winter, Israel’s northern lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) is set to be full for the first time in almost three decades! The Kinneret once served as Israel’s main source of fresh water, but due to the fluctuation, the country has mostly switched over to other water sources and desalination. Now, however, Israel’s Water Authority is once again permitting the use of the lake as a water source.

Sharp Drop in PA Terrorist

Due to the curfew imposed by the Palestinian Authority to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, as well as the ban on Jewish motorists in Judea and Samaria leaving their communities except for urgent reasons, there has been a drastic decline in the stone throwing terrorist incidents on the roads of Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. Over the last 7 days, only 4 terrorist stone-throwing incidents have been recorded. (This is still four too many!)

Turning Radar into COVID-19 Detector

Two major Israeli defense companies have developed cutting-edge coronavirus symptom detectors that will allow doctors to remotely pick up on suspicious symptoms of COVID-19. The sensors were created by adapting radar and camera technology that come from the defense and homeland security world.

Selective Antisemitism!

Enemies of the Jewish state briefly suspend Antisemitism if Israel can save their lives. The cofounder of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which urge a complete boycott of Israeli-made products, encouraged the movement's supporters to seek out one Israel-made product, if it materializes: a vaccine to inoculate them against the coronavirus.

Israel Develop Faster and Cheaper COVID-19 Test

Researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem announced on Sunday that they have developed a new method of testing for COVID-19 which is not only 4-10 times faster than the tests most commonly used today, but also significantly cheaper, while supplying the same level of accuracy. The method is based on materials which are not affected by global shortages and can even be recycled for repeated used on future tests.

Quote of the Week:

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie." - Josef Goebbels, Nazi minister of propaganda - The second sentence is less known, but more important to understand dynamic of “big”-global lies! Many governments had been using this principle!

Transfer is Legal.

by Steven Shamrak

After long and careful consideration Israel has made a decision to transfer some members of suicide bombers’ families to Gaza. It did not come as a surprise when UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan immediately voiced his opposition to the decision. I have made an effort to find out details of an international agreement he has referred to. As usual, it is open to interpretations. And, as usual, “friends” are taking an anti-Israel point of view:

Geneva Convention Protection of Civilian Persons - Article 49 “Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive. Nevertheless, the Occupying Power may undertake total or partial evacuation of a given area if the security of the population or imperative military reasons does demand.”

The following is my interpretation of the document:

1.    First of all, even according to UN legal definition Judea, Samaria and Gaza are disputed, not occupied territories.

2.    Families of suicide bombers will be transferred from one “protected” territory to another.

3.    By encouraging their sons and daughters to commit terror acts, accepting the admiration from their neighbors and “blood money” from Arab’s terror network, families of suicide/homicide bombers have become an integrated part of the terror machinery.

More than 75% of the Arab population of the territories support terror acts against Israel. Therefore, they can hardly be classified as an innocent civilian population. Israel has enough military and security reasons to conduct a population transfer.
