Israel - TRUMP FACTOR!
1. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo refused to reaffirm American support for a Palestinian state after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to extend Israeli sovereignty over West Bank settlements.
Testifying before a Senate subcommittee just as Israel wrapped up tight elections, Pompeo declined to respond when Democrats asked him to back a two-state solution.
“Ultimately, the Israelis and Palestinians will decide how to resolve this,” Pompeo replied.
2. US Pres. Trump says Israelis should be immune from International Criminal Court prosecution. “Any attempt to target American, Israeli, or allied personnel for prosecution will be met with a swift and vigorous response. ”US President Donald Trump declared victory after the ICC rejected a request to investigate US personnel for actions in Afghanistan.
This is the second time that the Trump administration has extended its vow to protect allies from the court explicitly to Israelis. Last month, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said ICC officials who prosecute Americans or Israelis would be denied entry into the United States.
The ICC is known to be considering whether to act on a request by the Palestinian Authority to investigate Israeli officials for war crimes. Like the United States, Israel is not a member of the court and thus its citizens are susceptible to court action only if they are in countries that belong to the ICC. (Netanyahu has already wasted two years of Trump, the most friendly US administration to Israel, by doing nothing to end enemy terror and free Jewish land from enemy occupation! When will he wake up?)
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
The Oslo Accords were about making peace with neighbours and possible autonomy for so-called Palestinians, not a creation of another Arab/Muslim state of enemies. Since 1995, it was proven many times that our enemies – Arabs, Muslims and most members of the UN - are not interested in peace with Jews/Israel, but have only one objective - destruction of the only Jewish states! Let hope that a pledge Netanyahu has made during the last days of the election, promising annexation of Area-C in Judea and Samaria, is not just desperate political stunt and he is going to do it as soon as possible!
A new Palestinian Authority (PA) government, headed by Mohammad Ishtayeh was sworn-in on Saturday in Ramallah, in the presence of PA leader Mahmoud Abbas. The last times the Arabs in the PA elected their leadership was in January 2006, 13 years ago. Abbas has since banned elections in a struggle to maintain his control over the PA. (Why would anybody support creation of a new Arab terrorist dictatorship on Jewish land? Only anti-Semites and self-hating Jews do!)
Nine Jewish groups have called on US President Donald Trump to stop Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, newly re-elected to a record fifth term, from carrying out his campaign promise to annex parts of Judea and Samaria. The signees were the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the Union for Reform Judaism, United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, MERCAZ, the Rabbinical Assembly, the Anti-Defamation League, Ameinu, the National Council of Jewish Women and the Israel Policy Forum.
The warning came after the election from the US, just as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was savouring his re-election victory: Don’t make good on your pledge to annex West Bank territory. One came from four of Israel’s staunchest congressional supporters - Reps. Eliot Engel and Nita Lowey, both D-NY, Ted Deutch, D-Fla., and Brad Schneider, D-Ill. Another was from Jewish groups who represent the plurality of US Jews. (True friends support unconditionally! Fake friends and self-hating Jews are not real friends of Israel! Jews have many bogus friends, who love to see us weak and helpless!)
Blue and White party co-chairman Yair Lapid vowed to "make life miserable" for the Likud party as the main opposition party following their loss in the elections. "We will make your life miserable in the opposition... we will not let go of Netanyahu's indictment. We are going to turn the Knesset into a battlefield..." (During the last election leftists of ‘Blue and White’ party pretended that they are Zionists. In reality, they do not care about the future of the Jewish State! They are not interested in fighting real enemies of Israel and only want to satisfy their own selfish agenda!)
PA chairman makes clear the Palestinians will continue to oppose President Trump's "Deal of the Century". Abbas has rejected the US peace plan being formulated by the Trump administration before it has even been unveiled. "Why does President Trump want to talk about any solution or any issue after he transferred the embassy to Al-Quds and recognized Al-Quds as the capital of Israel? Therefore, I do not think there is any point in having a dialogue with him." (They will reject any peace plan that keeps Israel as the Jewish state.)
Meretz Chairwoman Tamar Zandberg has petitioned the Israeli Central Election Committee to extend voting time in the Arab villages by one hour. Arab voter turnout is at record lows. In addition, Zandberg visited Kafr Kassem in an attempt to get more Arab voters to the voting booths. (Ideologically bankrupt self-hating Jewish left eagerly cooperates with the enemies of the Jewish state to facilitate its destruction!)
Quote of the Week:
“Today, I do not see the possibility of being able to settle the conflict without defeating the regimes and terrorist organizations that still hold the idea of destroying Israel. You cannot defeat them by withdrawal and by disengagement” - former chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. (res.) Moshe Ya'alon said it many years ago - Only by recognising our own rights and pursuing Zionist inspirations will Jews be able to bring peace to Israel and reunite our ancestral land!.
Jewish Self-haters or Victims?
by Steven Shamrak
I recently have received the following message from an Islamo-Fascist (according to the name, tone and manner of correspondence) reader of mine: “Please explain however whether Norman Finkelstein, Israel Shamir, Noam Chomsky, Walt & Mearsheimer, Illan Pappe, Gilad Atzmon or the thousands of other anti-Zionist Jews who are on your "self-hating-Jew-list" are also "Islamo-fascists" or "Jew haters"?
While I was writing my answer, I realized that I and other defenders of Zionist ideals of Jewish people have been using the term “self-hating Jews” quite often in order to simplify a message of self-hate which is quite common among Jews. The issue, as I and others have explained, is more complex and disturbing.
Regardless of the political antagonism toward Israel’s position that some Jews have adopted at the moment, they are our brothers and sisters! I only use term “self-hating Jews” as a description of a behaviour, in order to save time and space in my letters, but never with hate toward them.
A minority of Jews have chosen an anti-Israel position quite deliberately for hypocritical and self-promotional reasons in order to improve their professional or financial standing - In short, to make a better living!
Others, there are more of them, simply have need and are looking for attention - It is not only children only who suffer from Attention Seeking Syndrome. This disorder is quite common among adults. Many people, not just Jews, find that any attention, even negative, is better than none! By taking an anti-Israel point of view they gain the support of anti-Semites and rebuke from Jews. It is a win-win result for them – What else one can wish!
Many Jews, under continuous external pressure in an anti-Semitic environment, are consciously or subconsciously just trying to fit in. And the best way to be accepted is to behave like others. They use this bizarre, self-bashing behaviour pattern as a cry of “I am not like them – Love me!”
But the biggest proportion of the Jews who have adopted the anti-Israel point of view are definitely suffering in various forms from Stockholm syndrome which is described as “a psychological shift that occurs in captives when they are threatened gravely… tend to sympathize with and think highly of their captors… When subjected to prolonged captivity, these captives can develop a strong bond with their captors”. For too long Jews have been hostages in hostile environments. No one is able to sustain extreme unhappiness indefinitely! Identification with the surrounding anti-Semitic majority brings to themselves a false sense of security and acceptance.
In many countries after people have experienced a trauma, be it a robbery or a terror act, they would receive counselling. Unfortunately, for too long Jews have been subjected to the continuous pressure of the ugly reality which has been surrounding us, without any counselling or help at all. Yes, we have developed many techniques in order to survive - humour is one of them. Jews have survived two millennia of humiliation and persecution. But not without casualties! We must move from survival mode to living with dignity!
