PA's Diplomatic Terrorism
Suddenly, again, Israel is seeing threats everywhere. The latest come not
from rockets, the Israelis say, but students armed with petitions and
Palestinians seeking sanctions against the Israeli soccer team.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters
here and in the United States are warning that Israel is unfairly beset on all sides, by old foes and new.
Most worrisome of all, they say, are not armed militants but a campaign of “delegitimization” against the Jewish state...
A symbolic but relatively toothless decision this
month by the British National Union of Students to support the BDS movement was
front-page news in Israel for days. Even more startling for Israelis were
comments last week from Stephane Richard, chief executive of the major French
telecommunications company Orange, who said he would pull the company out of
Israel “tomorrow morning” if he could, suggesting he supported the boycott
movement...
PA tried to have Israel suspended from the world soccer organization for its
treatment of Palestinian players. The measure was withdrawn in a last-minute
compromise, but not before garnering international headlines... Even greater
threats are coming, Israelis say, including the looming Palestinian bid to have
Israel formally investigated for war crimes by the
International Criminal Court at The Hague... (That’s like the Mafia
having the police investigated.)
Top PA negotiator Saeb
Erekat has said the Palestinians are seeking to “internationalize” the conflict
and have their demands met by isolating Israel...
“It is a strategic threat that aspires to be an
existential threat,” said former Israeli ambassador to the United States
Michael Oren. “It is not about getting a two-state solution... it's about
taking us down.”
(There are so many reasons for the
Western liberals to start a movement to boycott Arab countries - lack of
religious freedom, discrimination of women and ethnic minorities, capital
punishment, anti-gay laws, absence of democratic rights etc... But Israel is the only target of their anger.
Anti-Semitism is the only explanation! Unfortunately, many self-hating Jews
have been quite active in this Jew-hating movement.)
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
Countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Southern Sudan,
Libya and many others exercise a freedom of fighting their enemies, both
internal and external, without any restriction or limitation. The difference
between them and Israel is that they do not have a close ‘friendship’ with the
United States, which never missed an opportunity to stop Israel from achieving
its national objectives, and they do not pay attention to idiots in the ‘Ugly
Nothing’!
Attacks on
Jews always Preceded by Slander
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted
at a parallel between calls for a boycott of Israel and the
actions of the Nazis against the Jews during the Holocaust. "What was done
to the Jewish people at the time, is now done to the
Jewish state. We will not accept it," Netanyahu vowed. "In the past
anti-Semites boycotted Jewish businesses and today they call for the boycott of
the Jewish state, and by the way, only the Jewish state,"
Arabs are Good at Destroying and Burning
Arab arsonists set fire to the Gevaot Forest in the Gush Etzion region of Judea - the incident
caps off a three-day consecutive run of rampant fires set to the same exact
forest. In response to the repeated arson, Gush Etzion
regional council chair Davidi Perl said, "the ongoing situation cannot continue. Arson is a terror
attack to all intents and purposes."
There will be no War Crime Probe!
A United Nations group condemned
Saudi-led air strikes that killed six people in the Old City of Sanaa, Yemen.
The strikes levelled parts of a 3,000-year-old site - the Old City, which
UNESCO added to its World Heritage List in 1986, has been inhabited for nearly
3,000 years and has a high density of unique ochre and white, mud-brick, tower
houses, labyrinthine souqs, mosques and bathhouses.
Resignation of ‘Dis-Unity’ Government
The PA unity government formed only a
year ago has resigned after President Mahmoud Abbas said it was unable to
operate in the Gaza Strip. The resignation came after it emerged that the Gaza
Strip's rulers Hamas held separate indirect talks with Israel.
This is True National Unity!
Israeli citizens are extremely concerned
at the possibility of cyber-attacks against the Jewish state. Over half of
Jewish citizens, 53%, are willing to share online activity with gov't for
security purposes. Another 37% supported government oversight of social media
websites, while 28% agreed that certain websites should be blocked.
Official anti-Semitism in the
Louvre
Tel Aviv University art professor Sefy Hendler attempted to book
reservations online at the Louvre and Paris’ Sainte-Chapelle, a medieval church, for a group of twelve of his
top protégés only to find that neither could accommodate him. Both are public
institutions. Perplexed, he reapplied in the name of two fictitious schools,
one in Abu Dhabi and one in Florence, for the same
time slot he had originally wanted, this time meeting with success.
Among the many attractions available to
Palestinian children in the area formerly known as Gush Katif
are a theme park, water slides, a zoo - and a Hamas
terror camp. Hundreds of teenagers aged 12 and up train there as Hamas shapes the future fighters of its military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
The teens practice live fire, learn how to read maps and offer first aid, and
also practice the kidnapping of IDF soldiers.
Will Coca-Cola Fire its CEO and Boycott
the PA?
Zahi Khouri, CEO of Coca-Cola in PA and exclusive holder of the
Coca-Cola franchise in the West Bank and Gaza
Strip, called for sanctions against the Jewish State and claims Israel stole
Palestinian land. (If not, Israelis and Jews must start boycotting
this sugar-water, which is poisonous to human beings. Let our enemies drink
it!)
