Honorable Exit for Netanyahu is Found!

by Gil Hoffman

A majority of the MKs who will be sworn in to the Knesset would vote for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be Israel’s next president.

By law, the election for president must be held between April 9 and June 9, before President Reuven Rivlin’s seven-year term expires on July 9. The politician closest to Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin, will set the date for the vote in the Knesset.

If Netanyahu is no longer leader of the Likud, the party would hold a snap primary among its members, and whoever wins could easily form a stable, center-right (hopefully Zionist) coalition comprised of the 73 MKs of Likud, Shas, Blue and White, United Torah Judaism, Yamina, New Hope and the Religious Zionist Party. (For the next seven years, as the President of Israel, Bibi will be able to do what he loves most - meeting foreign dignitaries in front of a camera!)

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

The term “Right-wing party” in Israel is completely misleading and must be dropped!  The political ‘Right’ is representing democratic and capitalist values; the political ‘Left’ is promoting ideologies of Socialism, Communism, Anarchism and Nazism! Historically, the modern Zionist movement was affiliated with the ideology of the Socialism. Zionism is the Jewish national independence movement - it is not and must not be branded as a ‘Right’ or ‘Left’ ideology! This is the only national independence movement, which the anti-Semitic Left is rejecting and condemning!

Bahrain Appoints Its First Ambassador to Israel

Bahrain has set up its diplomatic mission to Israel and named its first ambassador to the country, some six months after the two countries signed the Abraham Accords. Bahrain and its near neighbour the UAE signed formal recognition deals with Israel on September 15 at the White House. Since then, there has been a slow but steady development of formal diplomatic links. (In a short period of time, Bahrain and UAE have proven that the Arab world can have good relationship with Israel, and does not really care about fake Palestinians!)

Saudis Make Small Step Forward

Normalisation with Israel would bring “tremendous benefit” to the Middle East region, the Saudi foreign minister. “It would be extremely helpful both economically but also socially and from a security perspective.”  But such an accord would depend on progress in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, he added. But mutual concern over Iran has gradually brought Israel and Gulf countries closer, and Riyadh has quietly been building relations with the Jewish state for several years.

Biden Removing Defence Systems from Saudi Arabia

The Biden-Harris administration has been on the offensive against Saudi Arabia since the beginning of their presidency! Biden has directed the Pentagon to begin removing some of the US’s military resources out of the Middle East, and specifically out of Saudi Arabia. The US already removed three Patriot antimissile batteries out of the region, including one at the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The permanent aircraft carrier presence and surveillance systems are also diverted away from the region! (Well, this is something Israel can sell to Saudis, after they open embassy in Jerusalem. Hopefully, it will also end the US interference, and will allow Israel and its new Arab friends to deal with Iran nuclear program decisively! Israel might replace these defensive systems after Saudis join UAE and Bahrain and recognise Israel.)

Turkey is Playing 'Israel-Hate' Game

In spite of reports that Turkey would be ready to send an ambassador to Tel Aviv if an Israeli envoy is sent to Ankara, the Foreign Ministry said it had not heard from any Turkish officials on the matter. After establishing ties in 1949, Turkey and Israel were allies for decades, ties between Israel and Turkey have been tense over the past decade, with Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his party, AKP, frequently comparing Israel to Nazi Germany and condemning Israel’s “occupation” of the West Bank and treatment of the Palestinians, despite its own illegal occupation of Northern Cyprus, northern Syria and persecution of the Kurds. Erdogan “has a system” by which he tries to bolster economic ties between Israel and Turkey while supporting Islamist extremists who attack Israel! (Like Egypt and Jordan, Turkey has never been a real friend of Israel. For them the diplomatic relationship with Israel has always been just to gain economic and political advantage! The JCPOA was letting Iran to continue development of  the bomb, just slower.)

Iran Won’t Stop Enriching Uranium

After China signed a sweeping economic and security agreement with Iran, which includes investing $400 billion over 25 years in exchange for Iranian oil an Iranian official said that the “20% uranium enrichment is in line with Paragraph 36 of the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – the 2015 nuclear agreement) and will be stopped only if the US lifts all the sanctions.” (Time is of the essence - Israel and friends must not allow development of Iranian nuclear bomb!)

Quote of the Week:

“It is a historical fact that Israel occupied the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights after the 1967 War. This has been the longstanding position of previous administrations of both parties over the course of many decades. Again, our ultimate goal here is to facilitate – to help bring about – a two-state solution because it is the best path to preserve Israel’s identity as a Jewish and democratic state, while bestowing on the Palestinians their legitimate aspirations of sovereignty and dignity in a state of their own.” - Ned Price, US State Department spokesman  He has proved again that Biden as president, as many US presidents before him, is deeply anti-Israel! The Six Days War in 1967 was a defensive war! Israel won it, and was able to regain control over the Jewish land that was stolen from Jew by Arab enemies during the War of Independence in 1947. There is still almost 77% of Jewish land, which was allocated by the League of Nations for a Jewish state, occupied by Jordan!

Anti-Israel Politics of President Biden!

Transfer of $75 million to the PA

The Biden administration is quietly ramping up assistance to the Palestinian Authority. A week ago, it was giving $15 million to vulnerable Palestinian Arab communities to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden administration notified Congress without a public announcement that it will give the PA $75 million for economic support, to be used in part to regain their “trust and goodwill” after the Trump-era cuts.

The Biden administration is planning to roll back many of Trump’s policies related to Israel and the PA, including the reopening of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington, as well as the consulate in Jerusalem.

The administration is planning to roll back many of Trump’s policies related to Israel and the PA, including the reopening of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington, as well as the consulate in Jerusalem. (With all the problems in the world “resetting” the relationship with anti-Israel terrorists is the highest priority for Biden! And he does it in violation of the Taylor Force act.)

US Returns to anti-Israel Rhetoric and Duplicity!

The annual United States report on global human rights practices affirmed that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel, but reintroduced language that spoke of Israeli occupation of territory, two-states and gave a nod in the direction of Palestinian Authority rights to sections of Jerusalem. The 2019 report by the Trump administration did not use the word "occupation" with respect to Israeli hold on territory. That 2019 report also failed to speak of a future Palestinian state. The 2020 Biden administration report, however, references a "future Palestinian state." (So-called Palestinians are the actual occupiers of Jewish land - time to end this occupation!)
