Dear Friends, Adversaries and Disturbed people.

by Steven Shamrak

You might be surprised, but I do like receiving messages from people who disagree with ideas I express, as long as they are able to support their views with facts and intelligibly present them. It gives me an opportunity to revisit my own ‘pre-conceived’ ideas and analyse them from an antagonist’s point of view. While doing so, I have been finding more supporting facts and ideas for the main point I advocate – the right of Jews to the land of Eretz-Israel – that I might not look for otherwise!

Unfortunately, intelligible opposition is very rare and hard to find! Israel bashing has become a common substitute and camouflage of ordinary anti-Semitism, which hardly bothers with facts and common courtesy! At the same time, Jews and Jewish issues have become a magnet for distorted people who thrive on and need attention from others. At least our true adversaries have some political or religious convictions and sometimes, although not often, they respond to common sense.

The necessity for attention is a very common behaviour among people. Modern technology provides them with ‘wonderful’ tools like emailing, instant messaging, chat-rooms, blogs, YouTube etc. There are people who, due to some personal problems, need external attention in order to function and feel good about themselves. Some of them create this source of attention using anti-Semitism as a provocative way of communication. It is a classic case of Psychology101; “Even negative attention is better then none”. They throw baseless, stupid, rude or outrageous ideas or accusations one after another, just to get any response. They do not care about the content of an answer or facts one gives. Often, they do not even mind if you are rude to them. Just the fact that someone is replying to them makes them feel important. This is the gratification they are seeking and need!

The best course of action we can take, for their sake, is to end the pattern of instant gratification by breaking this chain. We have to stop replying to them and starve them of the attention they are seeking. It will, hopefully, help them to recognise the problem and seek professional help! It is the best course of action anyone can take to help another human being, regardless of their political standing.

Pogrom in Israel. Six of the eight Jewish families' homes in ancient village Peki'in were either burned or ransacked by Druze rioters. A cellular transmitter that was installed in the village was used as "just an excuse" for violence against Jews.

Hamas terrorists fired on Wednesday evening mortars at Israel from inside a school courtyard in Beit Hanoun, Gaza.

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

Any agreement reached by Israel with Abbas, without the approval of a Hamas government democratically elected by ‘Palestinian’ Arabs, renders it useless and illegal! Israel and the US are pretending that it is not a problem in order to keep alive a delusion of the Peace process. Arabs are silent, because it will give them grounds to ignore and break this agreement with Israel at any time, as they usually do!

Stop the Meeting. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) last Monday urged Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to stop meetings with Israeli leaders. The chief Palestinian peace negotiator (Fatah) raised the stakes for a U.S.-sponsored peace conference, saying there will be no talks with Israel unless it agrees to set a deadline for establishing a Palestinian state. (There will be no deadline set to end Arab terrorism during another useless ‘parlay’. The PFLP, Fatah and Hamas have the same intention. They just rap it differently. Arabs do not offer peace or any compromise to Israel, just terror! The end of Arab occupation of Jewish land will end Arab terror!)

Freeing Terror Money. The American government is planning to transfer $410 million to the Palestinian Authority in an effort to strengthen its president, Mahmoud Abbas and non-democratic prime minister, Salam Fayyad. (The more aid the PA receives, the more funds Fatah and Hamas have to dig tunnels and buy weapons, explosives and rockets!)

Why Only Israel is Looking for Normalization? According to A-Sharq Al-Awsat, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has asked Arab nations not to recognize Israel until Israel agrees to give away Judea, Samaria, and all of the Jerusalem neighborhoods regained in the Six Day War. Abbas reportedly said that Arab countries do not need to promote the normalization of relations with Israel.

IAEA – Another International Israel-basher. Chief UN nuclear watchdog Mohamed ElBaradei accused Israel of taking "the law into their own hands" with a raid on Syria. ElBaradei said he had been told by Syria that the site was a military facility and "has nothing to do with nuclear." (If it was not a nuclear site, why would IAEA be concerned about it! The organization has proved to be useless in Pakistan, India, North Korea and Iran. By procrastination and inaction, it only facilitates the proliferation of nuclear weapons.)

The Fifth Column. Israeli-Arab leaders Ra’ad Salah and MK Jamal Zahalka held a rally Saturday threatening Arabs who agree to take part in any national service. Israeli Arab MKs were outraged at Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman's demands for a population exchange with the PA in advance of the summit in Annapolis, however they are calling for a full Israel withdrawal to the 1967 borders. "The borders must be the 1967 lines, including east Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine," MK Ahmad Tibi of UAL said. (Do they represent Israel or the enemies of the State?)

Quote of the Week:

"The Annapolis peace conference is not a scientific experiment and the Israeli people are not guinea pigs." Israeli Public Security Minister Avi Dichter. The best course of action would be to end the charade of the ‘Peace process’ and pursue our national goals.

'Olive Harvest' - Expression of self-Hate. Three Jewish left-wing activists who claimed to be protecting Arab olive-pickers were arrested after destroying a Jewish vineyard a week ago.

How Much Policing Do They Need? The PA to fire 30,000 policemen from West Bank security forces. The PA security forces have some 80,000 men and women on their payroll. Agreements signed between the PA and Israel in 1994 and 1995 limited the PA security forces to some 30,000. (PA recruited terrorists to provide them with jobs. International hypocrites have been paying their salary with no accountability. At the same time, the level of terror has increased!)

Terrorists Bite the Hand that Feeds. Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said that Israel had no choice in authorizing power cuts to Gaza in light of continued terrorist attacks. "Should we tell them to continue firing rockets at the same power station that provides them with electricity and continue to bomb the water system that provides them with water?"

PA Arabs Torch Yad Yair Synagogue. Jews arrived at the Yad Yair synagogue for morning prayers on Friday, week ago, to the horrific site of Torah scrolls and holy books consumed in a blaze. They also destroyed a children’s playground. It was the third time in the past 18 months that the synagogue, named in memory of terror victim Yair Mendelson, was torched by Palestinian Arabs. (No international outcry or condemnation! Self-hating Jews are also silent.)

Defiling Memory of Rabin by Omission.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry Website omits a link to Rabin's last Knesset speech repudiating a Palestinian State, which is in its Rabin Memorial Web-Page. In his last speech to the Knesset, delivered on October 5, 1995, Rabin outlined in detail his peace vision and the limits of concessions he was prepared to make:

ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, “…the policy of the Olmert government has discarded each and every one of Rabin’s red lines in dealing with the Palestinian Authority (PA) that he outlined in that major speech…” (The current Israeli self-hating left lacks any morality. They even falsify and omit the ideas and political stand of their own leaders, like Rabin and Ben Gurion!)
