Season’s
Greetings to our true Christian friends.
Attempt
to Bar Judaism in Israel.
The Orthodox Union slammed Israeli legislation that would
bar religious outreach to youth. “Israel is the Jewish state and Israelis should be free to
engage each other — even on the street - in discussions about Jewish tradition,
observance and heritage.” The bill, presented a week ago, would bar adults from
pressuring anyone aged 18 or younger to intensify their religious involvement
through action such as donning tefillin on street corners. (At the same
time, under the leadership of Olmert’s government, Christian missionaries have
free access to the Jewish lost souls in Israel. When will stupidity and
self-destructiveness end?)
Genocide
in Palestine. PA Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said that genocide
in Palestine dates as far back as almost 60 years. "Genocide is what we
are witnessing in Palestine for nearly 60 years; it's clear to the whole world,
countries and the international community where on Earth genocide is taking
place," said Hosseini in a weekly interview. (I agree with him! The genocide of Jews by
Arabs started long before the establishment of Israel. Most memorable was
the1922 pogrom in Hebron. …but stabbings, throwing of rocks, suicide bombings,
shootings and rocket attacks have never stopped!)
Vatican
Holocaust Archives are still Closed. Thirty-five leading Catholic and Jewish scholars and
activists are calling on the Vatican to open its Holocaust-era archives. The
petition came in response to the recent discovery of two new documents
connected with Pope Pius XII’s response to the Holocaust. (What has
happened to the famous Catholic need for repentance? What have they been hiding
for 60 years? How much Jews’ blood is there on Vatican hands?)
Hypocrisy of
the Holy See. The Vatican released a statement directed at the Iranian conference on
Tuesday, saying, "The Shoah [Holocaust] was a great tragedy before which
we cannot remain indifferent. The memory of those horrible events must remain
as a warning for people's consciences." (But, the relevant documents have still have
not been released.) Prime
Minister Ehud Olmert met with Catholic Pope Benedict XVI. The Christian leader
praised Israel’s policy of adhering to a cease-fire deal despite continued
attacks on its citizens. (Church praises
the 'Turn-the-Other-Cheek' policy. How many ‘Other-Cheeks’ must Jews have?)
Hate Crimes Against Jews Soar in New York. Police statistics show a
28 percent increase in acts of anti-Semitism in New York City. Reminiscent of
Hitler's rise to power in Germany, the radical left-wing in America has grown
fond of blaming their nation's troubles on Jewish influence.
'Moderate' anti-Semitism in Europe. Acts of violence and
expressions of hatred against Jews in Europe have more than doubled since last
summer's Lebanon war, according to a disturbing survey conducted by the
European Jewish Congress.
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
I had a discussion
with a local Catholic man about reincarnation recently. Despite the facts I
presented, he vigorously insisted that Judaism, like Catholicism, does not
support belief in reincarnation. Don’t you love when Jews are told by others
what our beliefs are, how much of our land we are allowed to have and how we
must deal with our enemies!
Another anti-Israel Move of ‘Useless Nothing’. The U.N. General Assembly
voted 162-7 to establish an
office in Vienna to register Palestinian claims for damage stemming from
Israel's construction of a barrier in the West Bank. (There is no attempt to establish a UN office to register
Jewish claims for damage from stabbings, forest burnings, suicide bombings,
Kassam and Katusha rockets etc… Nothing has changed in this ugly anti-Semitic
world!)
Iran Offers Arab States Nuclear
Technology.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad offered to share Iranian-made nuclear technology
with Arab states in the Gulf, after they expressed a
desire to acquire it, Iranian media reported. (Dawn)
Another 6
Months of Hypocrisy. U.S. President George W. Bush has decided to suspend for a
period of six months the moving of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. (… in defiance of
US law.) However, "my administration remains committed to beginning the
process of moving our embassy to Jerusalem," Bush said. (What BULL!)
Israeli Arab Tried to Bomb Hotel. A
gag order was lifted permitting the reporting of an Israeli Arab arrested a
while ago before he could carry out an attack to blow up the packed lobby
or dining room of Upper Nazareth’s Plaza Hotel. Israeli intelligence caught the
young man expressing interest in carrying out a suicide bombing on two
occasions using surveillance equipment. He was set to receive his explosive
belt from Fatah’s Al Aksa Brigades. (There are no Israeli Arabs, just the enemy within! Why
gag the truth?)
Signing in
Unison. The
Tehran conference was organized as an exercise in ‘academic freedom’ to
‘consider’ whether 6 million Jews really died in the Holocaust. "The
Zionist regime will be wiped out soon the same way the Soviet Union was, and
humanity will achieve freedom," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declares.
"The Holocaust is the device used as the pillar of Zionist imperialism,
Zionist aggression, Zionist terror and Zionist murder," said David Duke, a
former Ku Klux Klan leader.
Hamas is Satisfied. Israel's town Sderot has
all but become a ghost town amid intensifying "Palestinian" missile
attacks. The Hamas rulers of the Palestinian Authority are expressing great
satisfaction over the effect their rockets and those of their allied terror
groups are having on Israeli civilians, and particularly Jewish children in the
vicinity of Gaza.
Quote of the Week:
“Because Qassams
are not capable of accurate targeting, it is unlawful to use them in or near
areas populated with civilians… International humanitarian law prohibits direct
attacks against civilians and civilian objects as well as indiscriminate
attacks and attacks that cause disproportionate damage to civilians.” -
Human Rights Watch.
Spirit of Maccabies is still Alive. Close to a thousand former residents and
Land of Israel activists succeeded in reaching the destroyed community of
Homesh last Monday, where they lit Chanukah menorahs and vowed to rebuild their
homes.
Circumcision –
G-d is Right Again. Circumcision halves a man’s risk of
contracting AIDS from heterosexual sex, a study found. The U.S. National
Institutes of Health made the announcement, based on clinical trials in Kenya
and Uganda that confirmed a study done last year in South Africa.
Foreign Ministry
Pressuring IAF. The
Foreign Ministry has asked the IAF to discontinue the flights over Lebanese
territory in the wake of an incident that created waves with the French
government. Resolution 1701 calls for a ban on sale or supply of arms to
entities or individuals in Lebanon, including Hizbullah, as well as the disarming
of "all armed groups in the country." UNIFIL has categorically
refused to disarm Hizbullah, and so has the Lebanese government. (The
left-infested Foreign Ministry does not care about Israel security. Fat
salaries and comfortable overseas trips are their main concern. Why are the
enemies of Israel allowed to ignore UN resolutions, while Israel must conform
to them?)
Iran Pushing
for the return of the Golan. "The return of the Golan
is not just a Syrian goal, but also one of the goals of Iran," Hassan
Ichtahri, Iranian ambassador in Syria, said in an interview. (Another goal is
destruction of Israel! Like Egypt got Sinai for nothing, return of Golan is
desired by Israel’s enemies before the next war!)
Democracy:
Iranian [Muslim]
Style. Publication of results was halted after only
one-tenth of the votes had been counted in Tehran 60 hours after balloting. The
president’s followers, backed by Revolutionary Guards, had stormed the election
committees. They used threats and harassment to force the counters to falsify
the results and reverse the president’s opponents’ gains.
Short
History of Christmas.
Even though no one really knows the precise date of Christ's birth, people have celebrated Christmas
on December 25 since at least A.D. 336 (most
likely because Hanukkah starts on 25 of the Jewish month Kislev).
Historians believe this particular date was fixed because of year-end
celebrations of ancient pagans to honour Saturn,
the harvest god, and Mithras, the god of light. Most traditional Christmas
carols came from the 1700s and 1800s. The commercialism was not far behind.
