Arab Unrest in Israel - Enemies Within! (debka.com) A new, disturbing feature has emerged from this year’s fierce Ramadan outbreaks... Young Arab firebrands, citizens of Israel, actively spurred the Palestinians into rioting and assaults on the police in Jerusalem and on Temple Mount, before stirring up riots in their hometowns of Haifa, Nazareth and parts of the central Israel “Triangle.” This new generation of agitators has begun to exhibit certain features: - It is formless with no known leadership. - The extremist Muslim Movement of northern Israel is attempting to seize influence in this still unstructured group. - They operate mostly in local gangs who fight each other for territory. - Some are trying to spread their wings to dominate whole regions. - Some of them carry arms, which they hide in caves near their towns and villages. - They grew up in families where the use of firearms was commonplace for a clan or individual to achieve its ends, a trend that is conspicuous in the Arab communities for setting disputes, often over turf. - They are embittered over their lot in the State of Israel, whose authority they refuse to acknowledge. They are also up in arms not just against the army and police, but against the Palestinian establishment on the West Bank. - Anti-establishment to the core, these young extremists also despise the Hamas rulers of the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. - The anti-Israel riots that spread to Haifa and Nazareth were ignited by the young agitators who were prevented from reaching Jerusalem by police roadblocks, - Israel’s uncertain political situation offered fertile ground for restive Arab youth to go on a rampage. Before a competent authority was in place to deal with the problem, the ground was already burning in Jerusalem and igniting additional flashpoints… חג שבועות שמח - Happy Shavuot! "I would like to thank all IDF soldiers and security forces... Today, you won’t be sitting around the holiday table with your families, but people of Israel are with you. You make it possible for us, all of us, to enjoy a happier, safer holiday (Shavuot)… You are our light, you are our pride, and you are in our hearts at every moment... Take care of yourselves, my dears, and take care of us. We trust you!” - President Rivlin made his remarks during a visit to an Iron Dome battery. Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak All over Israel Jews and their homes are attacked by their Arab neighbours, synagogues and cars are burned, stones are thrown at Jews and their cars and weapons fired. Jews are injured and killed by the ‘nice’ Israeli-Arabs! There is no difference in violent behaviour and hate for Israel/Jews between so-called Palestinians and Israeli-Arabs! All the talks about peaceful co-existence are just wishful-thinking with no real foundation! The IDF moved Infantry, artillery, and tanks towards the Gaza border, and Hamas believed that Israel was about to begin a ground invasion. As a result, Hamas sent its fighters into its underground tunnel system beneath Gaza City. The IDF brought in 160 aircraft and dropped 450 bombs containing over 80 tons of explosives, hitting 150 terror targets in 35 minutes. Hamas' underground city was hit with enormous force, and the IDF collapsed the terror tunnel system, on the heads of the terrorists hiding in the tunnels. During the attack, many kilometres of terror tunnels were destroyed and a large number of terrorists were buried in the sands beneath Gaza. Mistake - the firebomb was Meant for a Jewish Child Arabs lobbed the firebomb that injured a Jaffa child – by mistake. An investigation confirmed that the firebomb, which seriously injured a child in Jaffa on Friday night, was lobbed mistakenly into an Arab home in the belief that it belonged to Jews. The Jewish home next door received another bomb. The IDF has struck 750 different targets in the Gaza Strip using more than 1,000 explosives since fighting began, the military said Thursday. The targets included 33 terror tunnels, 160 embedded rocket launchers, four high-rise buildings and 60 terrorist operatives, among them senior Hamas officials who were hit from the air, while 1,700 projectiles fired at Israel, with Iron Dome maintaining a 90% success rate. Abbas Calls for Ethnic Cleansing of Jews PA chairman, Mahmoud Abbas, Abbas praised young Palestinian Arabs who led the resistance against Israel and emphasized the importance of Jerusalem in the Palestinian concept. "Jerusalem is the capital of the eternal state of Palestine (Eternal - When did it exist?), and we will not agree to an alternative in its place. We salute its people stationed there. We salute the heroic youth of Palestine (He incites Arab violence in Israel) who are the pride of the (Islamic) nation (no room for a Jewish nation) and the Palestinian people (The so-called Palestinians were created in 1964). Our people have spoken and we support them. We want a future without occupation, without aggression, without settlements and without settlers..." (Considering that the PA and Hamas do not recognise the right of Israel to exist and all Jews are ‘settlers’ to them, this is a call for ethnic cleansing of all Jews from Jewish land! Who is the aggressor? Who is occupying Jewish land?) Shameful Arrest of Jews for Self-Defence!Three Jewish civilians were arrested in connection with the killing of a rioter who attacked a Religious Zionist community in the central Israeli city of Lod. Judge Tal Aner rejected the three suspects’ request to be released, ruling that “it appears early on that the suspects’ claims do not fit the objective facts.” A synagogue was torched and a yeshiva ransacked by Arab rioters, who also hurled stones and firebombs at Jewish homes in Lod. Four days later, Court orders released them and ruled against the police request to send the three men to house arrest, instead imposing lesser restrictions. Police admitted that none of the Arab rioters responsible for attacks on Jewish homes, synagogues, or a yeshiva in Lod during the night in question have been arrested. (The despicable attitude of self-hating members of the Israel police and judiciary!)Irish Anti-Semites are still Barking The Israeli government has summoned Ireland’s ambassador, after a senior Irish official decried Israel’s air campaign against terrorists in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip as “brutal”, and said Israel “should be condemned”. In Southern Israel, two homes in the city of Ashkelon were hit by rockets, killing two Israeli women with at least 80 hurt as Gaza terrorists apparently attempt to overwhelm Iron Dome, firing dozens of rockets in the space of minutes, hitting homes and school. Ashkelon and nearby Ashdod sustained over 10 direct hits from rockets after Gaza militants fired 137 projectiles in five minutes in what Hamas said was its "largest ever barrage." (Israel needs strong Zionist leadership to remove enemies from the Jewish land, and end the threat of terror in Eretz-Israel!) A group of Democratic lawmakers castigated Israeli reprisals to the Hamas terrorist organization rocket attacks, and police actions against Arab riots on the Temple Mount. “Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection. Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians. It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid,” Congresswoman Ilhan Omar tweeted. (She would love to see more Jews killed! Who has started riots and fired rockets first?) There was heavy Arab rioting throughout the mixed Arab-Jewish city of Lod in support of Hamas’ launching some 200 rockets on Israel. Israeli-Arab mobs set fire to synagogues, religious schools and cars. As part of the attacks, the rioters pillaged synagogues, ransacked the houses of prayer and desecrated the Torah scrolls. Arabs in many other parts of the country also blocked roads, burned tires and threw rocks, bottles and fireworks at police forces. Quote of the Week: "It took only hours for Israel’s conciliatory moves during Jerusalem Day to trigger an avalanche of rockets and missiles from the Gaza Strip and mass rioting by Israeli Arabs against their fellow citizens. As for Israel’s external enemies - Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and Fatah, they must meet the full weight of Israel’s military might, and the sooner, the better. The belief that anything short of a crushing defeat will lead to their moderation is as delusional as Chamberlain’s appeasement of Nazi Germany." - Prof. Hillel Frisch - Israeli appeasement provokes Palestinian violence! Moderation does not work with the enemies of Israel – they consider it as a weakness. Orchestrated Violence Unites the Enemies! ( Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan in a televised comment denounced Israel’s use of force against Palestinians. Dozens of Pakistanis have rallied in the southern port city of Karachi to condemn Israel. The foreign minister of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has denounced what he calls the aggression of Israeli security forces in the holy city of Jerusalem and expressed Iran’s solidarity with the Palestinians. Zarif blamed Israel for fuelling “insecurity and instability in the region.” The head of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit - secretary-general of the 22-member organization, has blamed Israel for the escalation of violence in the Palestinian territories, warning that Israeli policies would blow up the situation in Jerusalem. “What we have witnessed is, clearly and frankly, a provocation by the Israeli occupation, that targeted the holiest Islamic sanctities, at the most sacred time,” he said, referring to the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. An emergency meeting of the 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation was held in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, to present a unified response from the Muslim world to the soaring tensions between Israel and the Palestinians, and the latest violent confrontations in Jerusalem. In a communiqué, the meeting denounced Israel’s “continuous violations” of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, “barbaric attacks” against worshippers and movement restrictions on Palestinians at the compound. It said that it considered the Israeli actions a “provocation of the feelings of Muslims around the world and serious violation of international law.” The office of Turkey's president says he is engaged in intense telephone diplomacy in a bid to end Israel’s use of force against the Palestinians. Erdogan has spoken to Malaysia’s king and the leaders of Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan, as he seeks a strong stance by Muslim nations against Israel.
