Apology for Unintentional Mistake.

by Steven Shamrak

I would like to apologise for an unintentional mistake I made in last week's letter. Many people wrote and corrected me - that Desmond Tutu is not Catholic. Some wrote that he is the retired Anglican archbishop of Cape Town. Others wrote that he is “Episcopalian" or  Protestant”. Some so-called friends of Israel felt deeply offended by my honest mistake and even asked to be removed from my mail list.

Let’s put aside for a minute the role the Church played in the massacre of the Jews in Jerusalem by Crusaders, the Inquisition, pogroms that were instigated all over the Europe for centuries and the Holocaust. Considering that repentance is a major part of Christian faith, shouldn’t Christian officialdom and individuals re-examine and apologise for the role that both major branches of the Church, Catholicism and Protestant, played in:

  1. Official blessing of slavery by the Church
  2. Persecution of other Christian groups
  3. Colonisation, physical and cultural genocide, forcing conversion of others to Christianity
  4. Facilitation and cover up of child abuse
  5. Keeping deliberate silence about killings of Christians by Muslims right now?

One has to really revisit deeds of the past and make teshuva (true confession - admit wrongs, make sincere apologies and promise not to repeat the wrongdoings again) for the mistakes that were made. Otherwise everything is just a pretense induced by the current fake politically correct reality. These false appearances can be easily reversed at any time to the ugliness of old ways!

Jews and Israel need good friends, but only genuine ones are welcome. Otherwise don’t bother us with your hidden agendas! If this message has offended you, it is not my intention, please be honest and ask yourself “Why?”

The Games They Play with of Jewish Lives!

United States officials are unfamiliar with the commitments America is allegedly offering Israel in exchange for a ban on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria, says investigative journalist David Bedein. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has told his ministers, and the Israeli public, that the U.S. has promised not to pressure Israel for any additional ban on construction in the future in exchange for a three-month building freeze now.

Bedein was in the U.S. last week and met with senior White House officials. He reports that he was surprised to hear them deny the promises reported by Netanyahu. The officials said they had heard of the alleged American commitments in the Israeli media but had not received confirmation from the Obama administration.

Even Enemies do not Stay in Jail for so Long!

United States President Barack Obama is under increasing pressure to free Jonathan Pollard with 39 Members of Congress submitting a letter calling for his release. Pollard has served 25 years of a life sentence for passing classified information to Israel.

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

1.      How many Muslims do you know who would defend the right of Jews to live in peace on their ancestral land?

2.      Why are there so many Jewish individuals and organisations defending concocted rights of so-called Palestinians with inexplicable vigour?

3.      Why do we see so many non-Muslims, whom Islamic terrorists despise and hate them even more than Jews, care about “poor Palestinians” but nothing else?

Friend or Bully? Another Proof that It is all about Money!

The Pentagon pressured Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to withdraw from a massive aircraft tender for the Indian Air Force, leaving competing American aerospace companies in prime position to win it. On the table: a $12 billion Indian Ministry of Defence tender for 126 multi-role combat aircraft (MRCA) for the Indian Air Force.

No Pressure on Terrorists

PA is refusing to return to the negotiating table even if a new 90-day freeze is implemented. Opposition is responsible for the delay in Israel wants to receive a formal letter outlining terms of the deal (too often the US has reneged from the verbal deals and promises it made to Israel). PA’s rejection to return to the negotiating table, even if a 90-day settlement freeze is in place, has delayed the anticipated agreement between Israel and the US for a package of incentives in exchange for such a moratorium

UN Ignores Genocide in Sudan

The plight of Sudan’s refugees has been largely ignored on the international level, where United Nations Human Rights officials have taken aim at Israel for maintaining a Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria and a maritime blockade on the Hamas terrorist regime in Gaza.

Cruelty, Cynicism, Disrespect and Ugliness of Islam!

Hamas newspaper El Risala has published a story claiming that kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit and his captors together celebrated the Muslim holiday of Eid Al Adha. The paper said the kidnappers also fed Shalit sweets made in Turkey. (Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organisation. It has demonstrated only hate and complete contempt for Israel and even other Muslims. There is no world-wide condemnation of this evil - just because it is against Israel!)

Schizophrenia of US International Policy

Chairman of the US Joint Chief of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, met with IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi on Wednesday. During the meeting Mullen claimed that sanctions against Iran were working, but stressed that all options remained on the table, including a military option. Mullen's remarks stand in contrast to those of US Defense Secretary Robert Gates who on Tuesday said that a military strike against Iran's nuclear program was unnecessary.

Quote of the Week:

"We have a government that does not tell the truth to itself or the public." - Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni – She is right! The current Likud government, and the Labor one before it, are both ideologically bankrupt and have no political direction or plan for the future of the Jewish state. This is because they refuse to embrace the original ideals of Zionism upon which both parties were actually founded!

Useless Nothing at Its Best!

Good news - Saudi Arabia has a seat on the women’s board at the United Nations now. That’s right, a regime where it’s illegal for women to drive or leave the house without being accompanied by a male guardian, where girls were pushed into a burning building because they were trying to flee without covering their ‘obscene’ female faces… will be a key player in the international effort to empower women. (The United Nation is an ugly international bureaucracy, which has been artificially kept alive far too long after its expiration day. Its main preoccupation is Israel - over 50% of its resolutions are anti-Israel ones!)

Arabs do not Want Peace – Why does Israel still Bother?

The Arab League is waiting to see if the Obama administration will offer it further inducements (put more pressure on Israel) to entice the Palestinian Authority into direct talks, but it is likely they will reject such talks with Israel based on the ”Clinton freeze”.

PA Drumming Hate in Violation of Oslo!

by Itamar Marcus, Nan Jacques Zilberdik and Barbara Crook

May-August brought no changes in the quality of messages being transmitted from the Palestinian Authority and Fatah to Palestinians. An examination of the Palestinian leaders' statements, official media, children's programs of PA and Fatah-controlled events reveals the following: The conditions, principles and expectations set by the US and the Quartet for accepting the Palestinian Authority as a partner in the peace process continue to be violated by the Palestinian Authority.

Contrary to the PA's moderate statements to the West, its statements to its people in Arabic continue to delegitimize Israel's existence, deny Israel's right to exist, define the conflict with Israel in religious terms, promote hatred through demonization and libels, and glorify terror and violence:

The PA continues to teach on PA educational TV that Israeli cities across the entire country, including Jaffa and Haifa, are Palestinian cities.

The official PA media denies Israel's right to exist by using terminology that refer to Israel as "Palestinian Interior" and "the homeland occupied in '48."

Maps used by the PA still erase and replace Israel with "Palestine."

The conflict with Israel is defined by PA-appointed political and religious leaders not as territorial but as a religious conflict, sometimes even as Ribat - religious war.

(Nobody actually cares about the expired Oslo accords any more, which only created fake photo ops for president Clinton. It is time to stop pretense and reclaim Jewish land from enemies!)
