Must Pay for Bigotry!

A move by a Greens-controlled council in Sydney's inner west to boycott goods and services from Israel will cost ratepayers at least $3.7 million and force the council to abandon Holden cars and Hewlett-Packard computers, among many other disruptions. (Shouldn’t they boycott all products and services created by Jews? Stop wearing blue jeans; do not use polio vaccine; give up mobile phones, Skype, Facebook and more? STOP watching most Hollywood movies and listen to music of Jewish composers! Why are those bigots so selective?)

Another Legal Blackmail Resumed

On Wednesday Israel's Attorney General moved to indict Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on fraud and other corruption charges, capping a decade-old investigation into the leader of the hawkish Yisrael Beiteinu party. (Israel’s legal system is frequently used by anti-Zionist left wing politicians to immobilize political opposition. For years it was used against Sharon. Lately Lieberman is the target!)

What Exchange - Jewish Land for Jewish Land?

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is still working to advance his land exchange plan, a plan that entails turning over portions of Eretz Yisrael to the PA (Palestinian Authority) in exchange for their agreement that other areas remain under Israeli sovereignty. (A true Zionist would never suggest ceding Jewish land to enemies. Another unscrupulous and self-serving politician would!)

Hours after Hamas accused Israel of engineering the murder of the abducted Italian pacifist Vittorio Arrigoni in the Gaza Strip Friday, April 15, two Grad missiles exploded in the port-towns of Ashdod and Ashkelon - just five days after Israel agreed to the Palestinian extremists' plea for a ceasefire.

Israeli police have arrested Hakim Mazen Niad Awad, 17, and Amjad Mahmoud Fawzi, 18, in the West Bank village of Awarta on suspicion of murdering five members of the Fogel family in neighboring Itamar on March 11. They confessed to their ambition to kill Jews and die as martyrs. They expressed no remorse. Six more Palestinians arrested as accomplices in the crime.

The Imperative of Jewish Sovereignty

As the PA/PLO presses for UN recognition of statehood, the question of who has sovereign rights over Judea and Samaria becomes critical. Historically and legally part of the Jewish national homeland, it is also claimed by Palestinians. To whom does this area belong? A uniquely Jewish definition of sovereignty provides a compelling answer.

Sovereignty, the ability of a government to act independently and in its own interests, is the essence of statehood. Applying just authority and institutions to assure the protection and well-being of its citizens are what conventional statehood is about…

The roots of Jewish sovereignty in Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel), however, are not modern. They are biblical, grounded in Jewish thought and history: the first and second Temples, commonwealths and civilizations that flourished in the Land of Israel, especially in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria…

The State of Israel, therefore, on behalf of the Jewish People, has the obligation and responsibility to say the truth: Eretz Yisrael, including Judea and Samaria, legitimately, legally and historically belongs to the Jewish People...

Declaring JEWISH sovereignty clearly and unequivocally will correct the distortion and misunderstanding of those who ignore or deny Jewish history and international law grounded in the League of Nations and in its Mandate for Palestine.

The Jewish return to Eretz Yisrael and the establishment of a state, Israel’s towering achievements in science and technology, its contributions to world civilization and myriad creative innovations are physical, material representations of a profound spiritual dimension - the fulfillment of Jewish sovereignty and destiny.

Jewish sovereignty is a statement of affirmation, not apology - of commitment, not appeasement. It is what true Zionism is all about. Israel’s failure to express Jewish sovereignty over Judea and Samaria (and other parts of Jewish land, currentely occupied by our enemies) weakens its diplomatic position and strengthens.
