Should Israel Buy F-35 from US?

Why not buy the rights to improve and produce Chengdu J-20.

Isn’t it time to reduce dependency on an unreliable ‘friend’, who does not even recognise that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel?

Price tag of a single F-35 Joint Strike Fighter is around $400 billion. Israel is still waiting for delivery of initial orders of 20 planes, with a total of 75 intended. Although F-35 was not Israel’s first choice! (Therefore, part of the US aid to Israel is effectively a back-door subsidy to ineffective program!)

The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter is the most expensive defence program in history - in fact it’s the most costly defence project in history at $1 trillion.  Now there are grave doubts in the aircraft’s ability to do the jobs demanded of it.

Seven years behind schedule and tens of billions of dollars over budget, it was revealed last week the next generation stealth jet won’t be allowed to fire its gun until 2019 because of growing issues with the aircraft’s 8.4 million lines of software. It is many years away from its revised delivery date.

It is supposed to do everything from dog-fighting to dropping bombs, carrier landings to vertical landings.  As a result, F35s are slower, less manoeuvrable and with less range and lighter payload than machines built for a single purpose.

But the clamour of criticism is growing as new details emerge of its chief competitors - the next generation Russian T-50 PAK-FA and the Chinese J20 have proven startlingly sophisticated.

Sukhoi T-50 (PAK-FA): The stealth capabilities of this impressive-looking jet are hotly debated. It does not appear to rely heavily upon reflecting radar. Instead, the emphasis appears to be on absorbing it. While not regarded as a match for the F-22 Raptor, its mix of speed, high agility and heavy firepower clearly indicate it has been optimised for air superiority and tracking down the likes of the B-2 Stealth bomber. Of particular concern is the suspicion that it can carry new long-wave radar capable of determining the presence of small stealth aircraft. A pinpoint location can then be given by advanced infra-red sensors. Super cruise engines enable it to fly fast for extended periods and it is believed to be capable of flying much higher than the F-35.

Chengdu J-20: This is China’s first attempt at a stealth fighter. The large twin-engine interceptor made its first test flight in 2011. Two new aircraft were rolled out last month making a total of six flying prototypes. Analysts say only its front profile is stealthy, though effectiveness of its radar-absorbing materials is unknown. However, its high speed, heavy payload and increasingly powerful sensors could make it a fearsome opponent for the F-35. Features it has that the American jet does not include engines capable of super cruise, thrust nozzles for agility and a particularly long range.

Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak

Under the pretence of ‘humanitarian’ aid the EU has built more than 1,000 buildings, as well as roads and other infrastructure in Judea and Samaria. There are dozens of locations, under Israeli jurisdiction, where they build without planning permits. This is violation of international law and meddling into the internal politics of an independent country! The aim is to undermine and facilitate the demise of Israel!

Commemoration of Babi Yar Massacre

Last Thursday Ukraine marked the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar massacre. Babi Yar, a ravine in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, is where nearly 34,000 Jews were killed within 48 hours in 1941, when the city was under Nazi occupation. The killing was carried out by SS troops along with local collaborators. (The eager participation and co-operation of local anti-Semites with Nazi Germany through almost all Europe was the main reason why more than 6 million Jews perished in the Holocaust. The European anti-Semitic scum are still there!)

Israel Must Do the Same

Britain will protect its armed forces serving overseas from “vexatious” human rights claims by making it possible to suspend the European Convention on Human Rights in future conflicts, British Prime Minister Theresa May said at a Conservative Party conference. (Protect Israeli soldiers from anti-Zionist legal autocracy!)

Education Creates Better Islamic Suicide Bombers

Recruits into the Islamic State terror group are better educated than their average countryman, contrary to popular belief, according to a new World Bank study. Out of 331 recruits described in a leaked Islamic State database, 69 percent reported at least a high school education, while a quarter had university-level educations. (Remember 9/11 terrorists?)

The White House Must Learn Where Jerusalem is!

The White House has "strongly condemned" Israel for approving plans for new settlement construction in Judea and Samaria, said plans for 300 new homes and an industrial zone were diminishing prospects for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. (About 570,000 Israelis live in more than 100 settlements built since Israel acquired East Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria in after defensive war of 1967. It is about time to annex it and remove enemy population from Jewish land!)

Microalgae Source of Clean Energy

Israeli scientists have discovered that microalgae can produce massive amounts of clean energy. Microalgae produce hydrogen from photosynthesis all day long, a clean fuel of the future! (Arabs terrorise the world – Jews create a brighter future!)

Another Security Wall - No Problem for anti-Semitic Bigots!

Turkey is building a huge, concrete, razor-wire topped security wall along its 900-kilometer border with Syria. All five construction sites include minefields, making the work particularly difficult and meticulous.

UK Makes Half-Step in the Right Direction

The British government has reportedly suspended aid payments to the Palestinian Authority worth up to £25 million, a third of the total the UK sends to the PA, over concerns that taxpayer money was being funneled to convicted terrorists.

Peres Inflated His Role in Entebbe Rescue

A former senior IDF officer, Amiram Levin, who played a role in Israel’s daring 1976 rescue of hostages at Entebbe airport, slammed former president Shimon Peres as a “crook” and “liar” who played no real part in the operation.

Quote of the Week:

Thus we conclude that we cannot promise anything to the Arabs of the Land of Israel or the Arab countries. Their voluntary agreement is out of the question...” - Vladimir Jabotinsky, "The Iron Wall"Truth about Arab-Israel relationship was known and was told a long time ago. Jabotinsky came to this conclusion in spite of his deep desire to live in peace with Arabs!

Perplexed non-Jewish Supporters of Israel

by Steven Shamrak

It might surprise some Jews, considering the disproportional anti-Israel coverage in the media and from international pressure the on Israeli government, that there are many non-Jews who strongly support the State of Israel. What even more surprising is, that many of them enthusiastically approve the idea of the reunification of Jewish land, the creation of Eretz-Israel (Land of Israel), as it was designated by the League of Nations in July 1922, even more than most of Jews.

Quite often I receive messages of disbelief and surprise from our non-Jewish friends. Many members of non-Jewish nations, who have never experienced continual persecution and violence, are unable to understand Jewish passivity and inadequate responses to Arab aggression and terror.  Although most of these nations are Christian, they still struggle to grasp the Jewish concept of love and respect to life, even at this time of existential threat from their mortal enemies. They ask:

1) “How on Earth do Jewish people put up with the injustice?”

My reply: Jews are used to it and we must be very careful with what and how we do things. Before WWII Jews were not allowed to leave most European countries, including the current leading democracy. During the war we were betrayed and killed by our neighbours and friends. After the war the British did everything possible to disallow the establishment of our homeland, which was legally designated for Jews (many Arab and Muslim countries were recently created as a result of the same mandate system which was created by the League of Nations.)

2) “I can’t understand how some Jews can turn their backs on Israel and help the hatred towards Jews.”

My reply: For too long Jews suffered persecution and were told “you can’t do this!” And we started to believe this lie. Many of us are suffering from the Stockholm syndrome. For thousands of years we learned to survive by appeasing our oppressors. It is difficult to break bad old habits, especially when there aren’t many truly supportive friends around.

3) “I don’t understand. When there is non-stop world-wide Muslim violence towards the Western world and none from the State of Israel, why the international hatred is centred on Israel and there is no reaction against Muslims…”

My reply: Welcome to the reality of the anti-Jewish world! They love to hate Jews, while conveniently disregarding the fact that Islamists hate Christians and any other religions, Communists and nice democracies even more than they hate the existence of Israel. Israel is just a front line of the world-wide Islamic assault to achieve global domination by Islam!

Jews and Jewish leadership must realize that the horrors of our past should not destroy the future of the Jewish people. We achieved what most people had considered impossible - creation of the Jewish state in 1948 in an utterly hostile international environment. We are in danger of squandering our great achievement. We are in danger to squander our great achievement! The time is now to understand that we will never get approval for anything we do or not do from anyone. Therefore, it is better to do what is right for the Jewish People than for our hateful enemies!
