Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's announcement yesterday, August 3, he will forge ahead with unilateral withdrawal from Judea and Samaria in spite of violence in Lebanon and Gaza... (completely disregarding the kidnapping of Israeli solders, the explosions of hundreds of rockets and the fact that thousands of Jews in Israel are forced to live in the bomb shelters!)
"[We are in] the beginning of a new era in the region [that] will break the psychological wall in the idea that Israel is invincible," said Abu Maamun, a senior leader in Jenin of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. "The Gaza withdrawal is the first result of our second Intifada (launched in 2000) and we see that Olmert still speaks of a second disengagement from the West Bank, and now Israel is under rocket attack. This is a great period and I believe a new era."
The prime minister, whose Kadima Party was formed specifically to carry out a withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, told the Gaza evacuees he is "convinced that we made the right decision to carry out the disengagement plan [from Gaza], and it is better for Israel that you are not living in the Gaza Strip at this time." (When will our self-hating Jewish leaders learn that the enemies of the Jewish people are thriving on our perceived weakness and self-doubt? Only a clear national objective of reunification of all Jewish land will put an end to opportunistic terror attacks and silence our critics. When will the stupidity of our leaders end? When will the Jewish self-pride and self-respect prevail?)
A Sister's Eulogy: "Time For Anti-Expulsion Refusal". At the funeral of Yehuda Greenfeld, a 27-year-old father of two, one of the reservists killed by a Katyusha on Sunday, his sister eulogized him by calling on soldiers to refuse to die in the "War for a Peaceful Realignment." His family now faces the prospect of being forcibly removed from its home due to their location "behind" the Partition Wall - the third bereaved family in such a position since the start of the Re-Engagement War.

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
Isn't it strange, that according to UN and International media Israel is only targeting 'innocent civilians'? Rocket launchers, ammunition dumps, terrorists' hide-outs... are not of any interest for the IDF. On the other hand, there is no condemnation of the deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians in Israel by Hamas and Hezbollah rockets!
On Day 26 of the war, Hezbollah fired at least 250 rockets across northern Israel, four times as many as the Germans ever dropped on Britain in one day during World War II, killing 15 Israelis and injuring more than 200 - men and women, Jews and Arabs. - This indiscriminate attack on the Israel's civilian population is not condemned as a crime and a violation of the International law by the UN - 'Useless Nothing'!
Lebanon Rejected (the first) UN Ceasefire Proposal. Lebanese officials are rejecting a United Nations draft ceasefire. The draft agreement demands a total Israeli ceasefire, but permits Israel to attack Hizbullah if she is attacked. The drafted resolution also called for the "unconditional release" of kidnapped IDF soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser. as well as "full implementation of the relevant provisions of the Taif Accords and of resolutions 1559 (2004) and 1680 (2006) that require the disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon... and an establishment of an international embargo on the sale or supply of arms and related material to Lebanon. (Arab leaders do not want peace. They hide the lack of democracy, bad economy and social problem behind their hate and aggression toward Israel!)
Hizbullah Kidnapper Details Syrian, Iranian Collusion. The IDF released videotaped footage of an interview with a captured Hizbullah member who was involved in the July 12th attack in which eight IDF soldiers were killed and two others kidnapped.
Hezbollah Fighters Killed. Between 300-400 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the start of the IDF counter-terrorism offensive in Lebanon. It is estimated that the total number of Hezbollah fighters to is 2,000. (None of their funerals were shown by media!)
Jews are still Discriminated Against in Israel. Despite a High Court decision, Jerusalem's Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site, was closed to Jews on the Fast of Tisha B'Av, which mourns the destruction of the Holy Temple. (Law and even court orders are ignored and not applied where Jewish rights are concerned.)
Environmental Damage in Israel. Hizballah rocket fire is also taking a toll on the environment, igniting hundreds of fires in Israel's few forests in the Galilee region. Officials estimated Monday that as much as 9,000 acres of land, including almost 3,000 acres of forest, has been damaged by fire in the past four weeks caused by daily barrages of rockets from Lebanon.
Quote of the Week:
"There is no such thing as a Palestinian people.... It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn't exist." - Golda Meir, statement to The Sunday Times, 15 June, 1969.
Saudi Arabia Breaks Up Pro- Hezbollah Rally. Saudi police broke up a pro-Hizbullah rally Thursday in the eastern region. Saudi Arabia, as well as other countries, fears that Hizbullah will become too influential in the Middle East. (Saudi kingdom prefers steady Wahabism - Philosophy of world domination of Islam - as a tool of war against Western infidels!)
Iran Copies Rockets to Arm Hezbollah. Many of the rockets Hezbollah is firing into Israel are made in Iran, demonstrating the Islamic republic's success in copying Chinese and Russian technology to build its own weapons industry. The conflict, which began three weeks ago, provides the first test for Iranian-made weaponry. Iran flies arms to Syria, where they're loaded on trucks and shipped into Lebanon under Syrian supervision.
Another Declaration of Global Arab War. Yemen President Ali Abdallah Saleh told Al-Jazeera TV on August 1, 2006: "I hope that all the countries bordering with Israel, not just Syria, would enter the war." "We will open the borders to the fighters. We will allow the transfer of money and equipment, to support the Lebanese resistance and the Palestinian resistance in Gaza."
Arab Children used as a Cannon Feed. IDF videos show how Hamas makes use of Gaza youth; they are sent to collect Kassam rocket launchers after they have been used, and the IDF holds back from targeting them.
End of Illusions.

Anyone who imagined that leaving Gaza would transform Palestinian politics or Israel's security for the better has watched those comforting notions sink after the election of a Hamas government to run the PA rocket attacks into Israel, and a crisis over the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier. The hope was that withdrawing from Gaza and creating a security fence around the Palestinian territories would basically allow the Israelis to wash their hands of the Palestinians. Except Palestinian radicals can routinely jump the security fence, in the form of the Kassam rockets they are pouring into Israel from Gaza. If Israel were to pull out unilaterally from the West Bank, major Israeli population centers would be within Hamas rocket range.
Roughly speaking, Palestinian politics is dominated by terrorists - as represented by Hamas - and corrupt, terrorist-enabling incompetents - as represented by Fatah, the late Yasser Arafat's organization... (Unfortunately, the Illusion is not dead. It is in hiding! It has happened many times before, when reality did not support political opportunism of the self-hating Jews and of the gutless Jewish leadership. They have been keeping quiet and have been waiting for a 'better day'.)
