A new normal shrouds Europe now!
The attacks in Belgium, France and Germany amplify anxieties over Brexit, Frexit, an unravelling of an order dictated by the European Union.
The fabric of cohesion offering peace, prosperity and security patiently woven over decades suddenly feels like a paper bag in a summer storm.
The ghastly execution of a priest in a Normandy church cinched the rope uncomfortably tighter.
The day before the murder of a French priest near Rouen, a rock concert in Germany was the target of a suicide bomber with allegiances to ISIS.
Europe's security services, particularly in the North, are struggling with precisely that same threat. No matter how many attacks they thwart, others are coming.
Across Europe several thousand young men and women have made their way to join ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The lessons learned there from the past two decades of terror camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan form the basis of an ISIS fighter's training. The alliances forged between jihadists become trusted international networks when they return home.
Be it Britain, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, to name but a few, all are barely gripping the new Jihadi threat. Finding a way for these EU nations to comprehensively tackle a mutual threat. A threat that sees no international borders, no difference between Paris and Brussels, Copenhagen and Berlin.
At a time of weakness, Europe faces its greatest threats in a generation. Only in unity shall we rise to the challenge. (There is always a solution to any problem. But after decades of condemnation of Israel for its fight against Arab/Palestinian terror it is difficult for Europe to make the right choice: 1) Stop migration from Arab/Muslim countries. 2) Deport all Muslim criminals and terror suspects, including their families, from Europe to the countries of their origin!)
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
In spite of the dramatic increase in number and brutality of Islamic terror attacks, most European countries are not able and willing to shake off their anti-Semitic tendencies and embrace as an equal the only true friend they could have in the Middle East – Israel!
In the Hamas-ruled Gaza region, summer camps for Arab children are run a little differently than in Israel. Young campers learned the proper way to stab a Jew. Young mommies were forgotten. Arab women were brought to a firing range and taught how aim and fire a gun. (This is how the international aid is spent!)
Dulan abu-Saleh, the mayor of Majdal Shams, the largest Druze town in the Golann Heights, disputed the assertion of a United Nations committee that accused Israel of imposing economic and social hardships on his community. “I don’t understand what they’re talking about, it’s laughable,” abu-Saleh said. Druze in the Golan “don’t serve in the IDF and so far only receive from the state.” Referencing the war in Syria, he said: “Why don’t they condemn the horrors in Syria, where dozens of children are killed daily? Golan residents have a good life.”
Despite heavy international pressure to change its existing legal stance, the Polish Court found on Wednesday that the law limiting the returning of property to Polish Holocaust survivors is constitutional and therefore will not be amended. The decision means that many survivors and their relatives will continue to be denied the option of reclaiming property that was stolen during and following WWII.
Hamas is digging more than six miles of tunnels each month toward Israel. Israel located and destroyed two Hamas attack tunnels in April and May. Following the 50-day conflict with Hamas in the Strip, Israel invested an estimated NIS 1 billion (approximately $250 million) in developing a detection system to locate such tunnels. (It would be more prudent to move all terror infested population of Gaza to Sinai!)
Good Policy but a Slow one!
A representative of the UN’s Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said Israeli policy in Area C, where Palestinians live under full IDF martial law, creates a “highly coercive environment that forces (them) to leave.” (Why not - how many Jews are allowed to live in Gaza, Ramallah or any part of PA controlled areas?)
Just two days after two Da’esh (ISIS) terrorists ritually sacrificed an elderly Catholic priest by slitting his throat on the altar of his own church as he was serving Mass, the people of France has once again bestowed the title of “Honorary Citizen” upon another cold-blooded terrorist killer, a PA terrorist Marwan Barghouti.
Israel Prevented Terror Attacks around the World
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressing Israel's role in helping other countries prevent terror attacks. He said that Israel supplies intelligence, and it has prevented many Islamic terror attacks around the world. "The realization is sinking in among countries of the world that they are threatened by terror, and that they need Israel's help…" he added.
Quote of the Week:
“...the situation with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been an area where despite enormous efforts on my part -- and a lot of people’s parts -- we haven’t made the kind of progress that I wanted to see... And I will also say, though, that in some ways because Israeli society has been so successful economically, it has I think from a position of strength been less willing to make concessions.” – Remarks by President Obama (March 23, 2016) – Israel would not exist if not for its “position of strength” and the determination of the Jewish people to have, finally, their homeland back! Would the United States give up its ‘position of strength’ negotiating with China or Russia?
Imagine it is America
by Steven Shamrak (July 2006).
In 1964 a "Mexican Liberation Organization for Independence of the South-West states of the USA" - MLO - was created with the help of the Mexican Government.
In 1972 the MLO murdered the members of the US wrestling team at the Munich Olympic Games.
Since then, the citizens of the United States have been subjected to random acts of terror by the members of various factions of the MLO.
1993: Mexican and US representatives met in Oslo and signed a breakthrough agreement of mutual recognition between the USA and the MLO Organization, which began the US-Mexican peace process.
The chain of agreements that followed, were facilitated by Israel - Wye River Memorandum, Camp David, summit at Sharm El Sheikh, Tenet Plan, the Road Map.
During all this time the MLO organization continued terrorist activity against the USA and ignored all agreements it had signed.
The UN and EU observed the suicide bombings, kidnappings and homemade rockets fired across the border by the MLO, but financially, politically and morally supported the MLO and the Mexican Government’s struggle against the USA.
Ten months ago the US government announced its decision to withdraw from New Mexico and transferred full control of the territory to the MLO.
Six months ago the US government ignored the protest of its people and deported the non-Mexican population from New Mexico, hoping to save lives and reduce the cost of the conflict.
The MLO responded with an escalation of the terror. Katusha rockets landed on the soil of the United States. Suicide bombings and kidnappings never stopped.
A week ago MLO members used a tunnel to attack a US military border post. Two US soldiers were killed, 4 wounded and one kidnapped.
The MLO made a demand to release Mexican terrorists from US jails.
The US army in order to free the kidnapped solder and punish the MLO entered New Mexico. A Power station, bridges and the Interior ministry building was bombed.
An Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman called for restraint and advised that diplomacy is a viable option.
The President of Mexico asked the United Nations for help in freeing the MLO members. The UN special envoy for the Middle East, Alvaro de Soto, says he will discuss the issue with the US government.
The US's four-day military offensive in New Mexico prompted recriminations during a UN Security Council debate sought by Spanish speaking countries.
For how long would the United States tolerate this? At least the Mexican people have a legitimate historical right to claim the south-west of the USA – Arabs and others, who call themselves Palestinians, have none!
Only Israel is denied the right of self-defense by the US governments and other international anti-Semites. The biggest problem is that Israel has been submissive to these pressures!
